Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has two characters left in its final Fighters Pass – here’s what a new leak suggests they are.
In the most recent Nintendo Direct, we finally got a reveal of the 4th character to come to Smash Bros. Ultimate in its second Fighter Pass.
This time around, Pyra and Mythra are our new fighters, coming from the popular Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game.
Check out the new Smash Ultimate characters in their reveal trailer here.
However, there are still two fighters to reveal before Fighter Pass 2 is complete. And now, we may know who they are.
This is the last chance for fan-favorites to make it into the ultimate crossover title, and gamers everywhere have a character or two they’d like to see included.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Final 2 Fighters Leaked
Finally, we have our candidates for the last two slots in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, thanks to a recent leak.
The leak first appeared on 4chan back in January. However, due to the site’s reputation and a lack of evidence, it was initially disregarded.
Now though, new evidence has come to light that might just prove the leak correct. According to the leak, Nintendo is currently planning a 3-hour-long concert in 2022, to celebrate the completion of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s second Fighter Pass.
And some of the tracks in consideration are particularly telling. There are a lot of popular songs from all of Nintendo’s iconic franchises, but also a couple that stray from the norm.
First of all, there’s a track from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 present on the list, one that wasn’t previously in Super Smash Bros. Of course, it may well be coming with the new Pyra and Mythra update, giving this leak some much-needed credibility.
But at the very least, if this leak is fake, the leaker has correctly guessed the Xenoblade 2 reveal ahead of the recent Direct.
Two other notable tracks include “N. Sanity Beach” from Crash Bandicoot, and “Proof of a Hero” from Monster Hunter.
Crash Bandicoot and Monster Hunter Coming to Smash Ultimate?
If this leak proves correct, Crash Bandicoot and Monster Hunter are the final two picks for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
It’d be hard to argue with these two reveals, especially given that they belong to truly iconic series that deserve some representation. However, many are skeptical that Monster Hunter would make the cut.
After all, there’s already a Rathalos from Monster Hunter present in Smash Ultimate. If the character was going to come to the game, it would surely have done so already.
What’s more, a recent leak actually suggests that Byleth was originally going to be a Monster Hunter representative in Fighter Pass 1.
Other leaks suggest names like Ryu Hayabusa, Doomguy, and Rayman could take Smash’s final character slots.
But knowing Masahiro Sakurai, we’re probably in for a shock with whoever the Director has picked this time around. Sora from Kingdom Hearts is a popular Smash candidate, but we reckon the only way he’s getting in is with a fan mod.
So far, we’ve guessed only one Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character correctly. But who knows, maybe we’re right on the money for the next one.
