This year, EA introduced World Cup FUT Heroes and included them as a pre-order bonus to incentivize players to pre-order the game early.

How to Claim FIFA 23 World Cup FUT Heroes Pre-Order Bonus

To claim your World Cup FUT Hero pre-order bonus, you simply need to log in to Ultimate Team on Friday, November 11th. The exact time will be specified soon, but it is expected to be at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.

To receive this, you must have pre-ordered FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition before August 21, 2022.

Anyone who pre-ordered after this date will not be eligible for the World Cup FUT Hero pre-order bonus.

How to Obtain Free World Cup Hero Pre-Order Bonus

PC players that sign up for EA Play Pro can get a bonus that gifts them a World Cup FUT Hero Pre-Order Pack alongside an Ones-To-Watch Pack and TOTW Pack.

These are all packs there were only given to players who pre-ordered.

To do this, you’ll need to sign up for EA Play Pro. Once signed up you will see all three packs in the store ready for you to open!

Will FUT Heroes Get Upgraded?

No, any current FUT Hero in your squad will not get upgraded to their World Cup FUT Heroes version.

World Cup FUT Heroes function more like Base/Mid/Moments Icon players, where each version is a separate player card.

How Do World Cup FUT Heroes Work?

World Cup FUT Heroes will always get full Chemistry Points. They will give one point toward their Nation’s Threshold, but they will give two points toward their League’s Threshold.

This is a great way to build chemistry since FUT Heroes basically function as two players for their league while only taking one spot in your starting 11.

It’s important to understand the new Chemistry Threshold system in FIFA 23 to build your squad properly.
