FIFA 23 TOTW 8 Predictions

Starting XI

Manuel Riemann – GK – 79 → 82

5 saves & clean sheet / 1-0 win against Augsburg / 7.9 WhoScored Match Rating

Once again it was a tough week to choose a keeper. We chose Riemann as he had the highest match rating for Bochum and kept a clean sheet.

Tiago Djalo – CB – 75 → 81

1 goal & a clean sheet / 1-0 win against Angers / 8 WhoScored Match Rating

Despite going down to ten men, Lille managed to hold on for a 1-0 win. It was that man Djalo who scored the goal and led his side to the win.

Jonathan Tah – CB – 82 → 84

1 goal & clean sheet / 2-0 win against Stuttgart / 7.5 WhoScored Match Rating

Tah scored and hung on to keep a clean sheet as Xabi Alonso picked up another win as Leverkusen’s manager.

Nuno Mendes – LB – 80 → 83

2 assists & clean sheet / 5-0 win against Auxerre / 8.4 WhoScored Match Rating

The Portuguese left-back was excellent as his side blasted 5 goals into the Auxerre net. Mendes will be happy to go into the World Cup in top form and a TOTW item will certainly offer great links to the meta PSG players in FIFA 23!

Jamal Musiala – CM – 84 → 86

2 assists / 2-0 win against Schalke 04 / 8.5 WhoScored Match Rating

Musiala assisted both goals in Bayern’s 2-0 win. A second inform would give Musiala a really nice item!

Rodrigo Bentancur – CM – 86 → 87

2 goals / 4-3 win against Leeds United / 8.3 WhoScored Match Rating

What a turnaround for Spurs this was. Conte’s side was not ahead at any point of the match until the 83rd minute when Bentancur popped up for his second.

This was a crucial win and Bentancur was an important part of these three points

Vincenzo Grifo – LM – 84 → 86

3 goals / 4-1 win against Union Berlin / 9.3 WhoScored Match Rating

The Italian scored a hat-trick which makes him a sure shot for TOTW 9

Jonas Hofmann – CAM → RM – 84 → 86

1 goal & 2 assists / 4-2 win against Borussia Dortmund / 8.6 WhoScored Match Rating

Hofmann is in line for a second TOTW item after scoring and assisting twice against Dortmund. While not an appealing right midfielder, Hofmann has CAM as his secondary position.

An 86-rated Hofmann could be a nice addition to your squads!

Darwin Nunez – ST → LW – 82 → 84

Two goals / 3-1 win against Southampton / 8.5 WhoScored Match Rating

Nunez has had a rocky start to life at Liverpool but the Uruguayan has been finding form just in time for the World Cup. The No.27’s two goals certainly make him a contender and his OTW is set to go to an 86 OVR!

Ivan Toney – ST – 77 → 81

2 goals / 2-1 win against Manchester City / 8.9 WhoScored Match Rating

Wow, what a performance from Ivan Toney. The Englishman sent a loud and clear message to Gareth Southgate that he should have been on that plane to Qatar.

Moise Kean – ST – 78 → 82

Ings’ two goals against Brighton helped Unai Emery continue his unbeaten return in the Premier League. Villa are looking more dangerous under the Spaniard

Reserves

Zian Flemming – CAM – 73 → 79

3 goals / 4-2 win against Preston / 9.8 WhoScored Match Rating

2 goals & 1 assist / 5-4 win against Jahn Regensburg / 9.3 WhoScored Match Rating

There were a lot of goals across the Bundesliga second and third tiers so it has been quite a tough choice on who would make TOTW 9. We’ve gone for Kleindienst due to his goal involvements and match rating.

Lukas Gortler – CM – 73 → 79
