FIFA 23 Team of the Week 1 Predictions

Here are the 23 players we believe will make FIFA 23’s inaugural Team of the Week.

Please note that some players predicted TOTW ratings are estimates as the full FIFA 23 database has not yet been released.

Starting XI

Jeremias Ledesma – GK – 80 > 83: Ledesma made six saves as he kept a clean sheet to help his side Cadiz pick up their first win of the season. This makes the Argentine a standout pick for TOTW 1.

William Saliba – CB – 80 > 85*: The Frenchman scored the first goal and kept a clean sheet as Arsenal went on to beat Brentford 3-0. A TOTW Saliba would make an excellent option for Premier League teams in FUT.

Pablo Maffeo – RB – 78 > 81: Pablo Maffeo not only scored and kept a clean sheet, he also made a goal line clearance as his side came out as 1-0 victors against Almeria.

Armando Izzo: Izzo was instrumental in Monza’s 1-0 win over Juventus. The newly promoted side defended incredibly well to keep out the 36-time Serie A champs.

Son Heung-Min – LW – 89 > 90: With a hat-trick off the bench Son will most likely be the headliner of TOTW 1. With a 5-star weakfoot, the Korean is always a fan favorite in Ultimate Team squads.

Téji Savanier – CAM – 81 > 84: The French midfielder got one goal and one assist as Montpellier came out as 2-1 winners against Strasbourg. His performance should warrant an appearance in TOTW 1.

Cody Gakpo – LM – 83 > 85: Gakpo had a hand in all four of his sides goals as PSV beat Feyenoord 4-3. The Dutch winger scored once and assisted three-times as two of the biggest Eredivisie sides came head to head.

Federico Valverde – CM > RW – 84 > 86: Valverde scored, what ended up being, the decisive goal in the Madrid derby. Expect there to be a Real Madrid player in the TOTW and the Uruguayan would be a great option.

Ciro Immobile – ST – 86 > 87: Two goals and an assist should see Immobile feature in TOTW 1. Additionally, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Milinković-Savić makes the final cut, with both players being decisive in Lazio’s 4-0 win.

Gerard Deulofeu – CF – 80 > 83: Udinese pulled off a shock win over Inter Milan and Deulofeu’s two late assists were vital to the win. An Udinese player should be in TOTW 1 and the Spaniard is the obvious choice.

Gonçalo Ramos: Gonçalo Ramos scored twice as Benfica ran riot 5-0 over Marítimo. Albeit, Rafa Silva could also feature instead as he scored and assisted in the same game.

Bench

Rafał Gikiewicz – GK – 77 > 81: The Polish shot-stopper had the hard task of keeping champions FC Bayern Munich at bay, but the goalkeeper pulled it off. The FC Augsburg No.1 made six vital saves throughout the 90 minutes as his team secured a shock 1-0 win.

Alejandro Balde: Balde picked up two assists, and a clean sheet as Barcelona beat Elche 3-0. Lewandowksi scored twice, but it may take more than two goals for the Pole to make a Team of the Week.

Filip Mladenović: Two goals and an assist from left-back in a 3-2 win should see the Legia Warszawa man appear in the Team of the Week.

Jonas Hofmann – CAM > RW – 81 > 84: The midfielder scored twice in a 3-0 win over RB Leipzig. The German was also awarded man-of-the-match.

Takumi Minamino: The Japanese midfielder scored and assisted off the bench as Monaco won 3-0. His goal was his first since joining the Ligue 1 side from Liverpool

Sheraldo Becker – ST – 76 > 81: Union Berlin currently sit top of the table with Becker being a big reason. The Surinamese added to his tally with one goal and one assist.

Borja Iglesias – ST – 81 > 84: Iglesias scored two goals in a 2-1 over Girona. As a result, he should make an appearance in the TOTW.

Reserves

Mama Baldé: The Guinea-Bissau forward sent his team five points off the relegation zone with two goals and an assist. He earned the games man-of-the-match in the process.

Giorgio Scalvini: Usually a defender, Scalvini was placed in the middle of the pitch as Atalanta took on Mourinho’s Roma. The young Italian scored the only goal of the game while helping his team keep a clean sheet.

Alan Forrest: Forrest struck two goals as Hearts saw off Motherwell 3-0 away from home.

Alistair Johnson: Johnson scored CF Montreal’s winning goal while keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 against New England.

Aitor: The Spanish winger scored a hat-trick to keep Panathinaikos FC top of the Greek Super League. He would be unfortunate to miss out on a TOTW item.
