The FIFA 23 Road to the Final item type is a dynamic live card with opportunities to upgrade depending on how far the players club progresses in one of the European competitions.
The further a team advances, the more upgrades a player will receive! The players picked to feature will be random but from a small selection of clubs competing in the European cups.
RTTF cards will also be given a themed item based on the competition they are competing in. This makes it easy for FUT users to know which tournament to keep an eye on.

How Do RTTF Items Upgrade in FIFA 23?
Road to the Final items will upgrade based on the players club and their progression in European competition. There are three competitions and each has separate upgrade stipulations:
Champions League
- Initial Campaign boost for being included in the promo
- Win 1st Knockout match after being released (+1 IF Upgrade)
- Qualify for Quarter Finals (+1 IF Upgrade)
- Qualify for Semi-Finals (+1 IF Upgrade + 3 New Traits)
- Qualify for the Final (5-Star Weak Foot upgrade)
- If the player already has a 5-Star Weak Foot, they will receive another IF upgrade instead
- Win the Final (+1 IF Upgrade and 5-Star Skill Moves)
- If the player already has a 5-Star Skill Moves, they will receive another IF upgrade instead
Europa League
- Initial campaign boost for being included in the promo
- Qualify for Round of 16 (+1 IF Upgrade)
- Qualify for Quarter Finals (+1 IF Upgrade)
