The FIFA 23 Path to Glory (PTG) cards have been going up and down in price and have become a pretty good investing option.
Dynamic items in FIFA 23 have a chance to upgrade and this often leads to their price fluctuating. Being able to predict an upgrade can make you tons of coins.
There are two ways you can make coins using these PTG cards.
Investing in FIFA 23 PTG Items Based on Progression
The first way to make coins is by predicting which teams will go the furthest in the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The further a team progresses, the more upgrades a player will receive. And don’t forget the upgrade system for PTG items offers excellent boosts.
As players receive these upgrades, they will become more desired and demanded, which will boost their prices up.
Best Nations to Invest in for PTG Upgrades
As we have seen in Argentina vs Saudi Arabia and Germany vs Japan, the favorites are not always the sure options to bet on.
In saying this, here are the nations expected to get at least two upgrades for their players:
- Brazil – Bruno Guimaraes & Vinicius Jr
- France – Antoine Griezmann & Christopher Nkunku
- England – Jack Grealish & Kyle Walker
- Spain – Daniel Carvajal
- Uruguay – Ronald Araujo
- Portugal – Bernardo Silva
- Belgium – Romelu Lukaku & Yannick Carrasco
- Argentina – Alejandro Gomez & Cristian Romero
- The Netherlands – Frenkie de Jong
Investing in PTG Items During Games
A quick and easy way to make coins on PTG items is to watch each World Cup game. We suggest having FIFA 23 Ultimate Team open while you watch.
What you will need to do is put a ton of PTG items from the underdog nation on your transfer watchlist. If the underdog scores and takes the lead, quickly buy up a couple of their PTG card.
This card will rise in price as people react to the game! We recommend selling the player shortly after picking up as if they concede or lose the game, they can drop back down in price.
This graph here is the price trend of PTG Junya Ito.
As you can see here, the Japanese international’s price was around 42,000 coins before the game kicked off. As the game was being played, he slowly started to rise before shooting up to 70,000 coins after Japan went 2-1 up!
Even though Japan won the game, Ito dropped back down to 49,000 coins. While this will still yield a profit from 42,000 coins, it is best to sell as soon as possible after he has risen to maximize your return!
Remember, this method will only work if a nation still has a chance of progressing to the Round of 16. If a player has no chance of an upgrade, they will not rise even if they win.

Of course, these methods are quite risky. However, there are other low-risk investments you can make to increase your FIFA 23 coins!
