EA Error Message

Here are all the current known fixes for this error.

How to Fix EA Anti-Cheat Error

There are currently three potential fixes floating around for this error:

1. Run Apps as Administrator

Some users have discovered that running the Origin app and the FIFA23 .exe file as administrators has removed the error for them.

Here’s how to do it.

  • Right click on the Origin app on your desktop
  • Click run as administrator
  • Select “Yes” when asked if you want the app to make changes
  • The app should be running as administrator

2. Uninstall and Reinstall the Anti-Cheat

The classic turn it on and off approach seems to work if the fix above didn’t remove the error for you.

Here’s how to do it.

  • Click the EA Anti-Cheat folder (located here: C:\Program Files\EA\AC )
  • Launch the installer and then uninstall it (File named EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe)
  • When it’s uninstalled, close the window and re-open Origin
  • Launch FIFA 23, and it should give you the option to re-install the anti-cheat
  • Re-install the anti-cheat, and it should bypass the error message

3. Delete Anti-Cheat Files From Other Games

A pattern is emerging suggesting anti-cheat files from other games you previously installed are conflicting with FIFA 23.

FaceIt Anti-Cheat

  1. Open Settings on your computer (Windows + I).
  2. Down the left-hand column find Apps then > Apps & features.
  3. Scroll down on the list until you find FACEIT Anti-Cheat.
  4. Click the 3 vertical dots next to it.
  5. Click on Uninstall.

Riot Vanguard

  1. Open Settings on your computer (Windows + I).
  2. Down the left-hand column find Apps then > Apps & features.
  3. Scroll down on the list until you find Riot Vanguard.
  4. Click the 3 vertical dots next to it.
  5. Click on Uninstall.
UPDATE #1: September 26th 2022 - 10:10 PM BST:

- On the EASF Tracker on Trello, EA says they're aware that some players are experiencing an EA anticheat Service Error on PC and are investigating the issue.

- Some players are reporting Step 3 (listed above) is resolving their issue.

Try each one of these and let us know in the comments section whether it worked for you. It seems these fixes will not work for everyone!

If none of these fixes work, you may have to wait for EA to release a quick-fix or patch.

In the meantime, why don’t you find out how you can maximize your FIFA 23 10-hour trial once you gain access to the game.
