One of the ways the Pokemon GO Out to Play event is encouraging players to get outside is by having some great new Field Research Tasks to complete. And the rewards for these Field Research Tasks include rare Hisuian Pokemon!
While you are exploring the new and improved Routes in the Pokemon GO Out to Play event, you’re bound to walk past plenty of PokeStops. Fortunately, this also means that you’ll be able to easily pick up some of the new Field Research Tasks.
Spinning a PokeStop or Gym during the Out to Play event in Pokemon GO could give you a limited-time Field Research Task. This event is running from 10 AM local time on September 27 to 8 PM local time on October 2.
These are all of the new Field Research Tasks in the Out to Play event:
Field Research Task | Reward | |
Hatch an Egg | Hisuian Sneasel OR Hisuian Qwilfish | ![]() ![]() |
Hatch 3 Eggs | Hisuian Growlithe | ![]() |
Walk 1km | Pawmi | ![]() |
Walk 5km | Hisuian Growlithe | ![]() |
If you are lucky, you could encounter the brand-new shiny version of Hisuian Growlithe as a Field Research reward from either the hatch Hatch 3 Eggs or Wallk 5km Field Research Tasks.
However, the other reward Pokemon do not have shiny versions in Pokemon GO just yet. This means you’ll have to wait before getting the shiny versions of Hisuian Sneasel, Hisuian Qwilfish, or Pawmi.

These Field Research Tasks are available until the Out to Play event ends at 8 PM on October 2, 2023. However, after you pick them up, they can be completed at any time.
