Among the new batch of Pokémon for Generation 9, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, is the cute little puff ball Pawmi. This Fighting and Electric-Type has two evolutions and it’s a tricky one from Pawmo to Pawmot.
Although many Pokémon staples are found throughout the Paldea region in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Generation 9 has more than a few new ideas to throw into the mix, complicating simple evolutions and progress.
But if you are looking to add this little guy to your roster, it is not too arduous.
How to Evolve Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
To evolve a Pawmo into Pawmot, players need to use the Let’s Go! feature to travel 1000 steps with the electric dog Pokemon.
By pressing the ZR button on your controller, you can take your Pawmo on a little stroll. After you’ve completed 1000 steps, level up Pawmo through battling or by using Exp. Candy and it’ll evolve into Pawmot.

Once your Pawmi evolves into a Pawmo at level 18, or if you manage to catch a wild Pawmo, you can travel the 1000 steps with no need to grind much.
And after only a single level up, you will then see the prompt to evolve into a Pawmot.
Where to Find Pawmo in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Pawmo is all over the Paldea region in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and you can even nab one right in the starting areas though it is rare to find in its evolved state.

Pawmo is occasionally found near wild Pawmi. An easy way to tell the difference at a glance is that while Pawmi is on all fours, Pawmo is upright and larger.
How to Evolve Pawmi to Pawmo
Evolving a Pawmi to Pawmo in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is very straightforward; capture one in the South Province and level it up to level 18.

For those not lucky or patient enough to happen upon a Pawmo, the easiest way to acquire a Pawmot is by capturing a Pawmi in the first area of the South Province.
But like the Pawmo, they aren’t common. However, with a little bit of poking around, you can find one even before reaching the lighthouse.
Though you can meet, find, and befriend plenty of new Pokémon, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet hasn’t forgotten the old classics and popular mascots for the franchise.
