Animal Crossing fans haven’t had much to do in New Horizons over the past few months. However, this is all about to change.

At the September 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation, there were plenty of announcements. One of the biggest was the news that Brewster was returning in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

However, all of the details about this upcoming update were kept a secret until now. Check out all of the New Horizons additions announced in today’s Animal Crossing Direct – there are so, so many!

The Roost Cafe & Brewster

Finally, The Roost is returning to Animal Crossing. Long-time fans of the series will recognize this cafe and you will be able to have coffee with your friends and favorite islanders here.

And, of course, what would The Roost be without the beloved bird Brewster? As always, he will be working as an expert barista there.

Harv’s Island Plaza

Harv’s Island will be much more than just for taking photos now. It will feature shops from all of your favorite island visitors.

Plus, more familiar characters will return. Reese and Cyrus will be able to customize furniture that you couldn’t do yourself, Katrina can tell you your fortune, and Harriet can give you cool new haircuts.

The new Switch OLED will make Animal Crossing New Horizons look even better than ever, but is the Nintendo Switch OLED worth buying?

Cooking & Farming

You can now farm food like tomatoes, wheat, sugar cane, potatoes, carrots, and more. Then, using your kitchen, you can cook a load of delicious recipes to eat.

Alternatively, these can then be displayed on the dining table in your house to show off your culinary skills.

These beloved (and very noisy) little decorations will be returning too. This time though, you can plant Gyroid Fragments into the ground and water them to make them grow.

What’s more, you can also customize them to make them whatever color you want.

Speaking of any color, the most exciting news of all. The Froggy Chair is back and it comes in different colors now!

Another classic Animal Crossing feature returning in the New Horizons 2.0 update is house visits.

Your island’s residents can now invite you to their house or you can invite them over to visit your place.
