Every NPC in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4: Where to Find Them & What They Do

Here’s where to find every NPC in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 and what brand-new features they offer to help you get that Victory Royale.

NPCs – also known as Characters – were introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 and have remained ever since.

Epic has been slowly expanding upon them, allowing them to benefit the player in new and engaging ways. From selling you goods to even reviving you, NPCs in Fortnite have never been better.

Now that Chapter 3 Season 4 is underway, many players are likely wondering where the new NPCs are and what they can do for you.

And while you’re thinking about which NPC to hire, why not choose which skin from the new Battle Pass skins in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 you’ll use?

What Are NPCs in Fortnite?

NPCs are characters from across the Fortnite mythos that players can interact with, hire and purchase useful items from. They act as vendors, lore givers, and a helping hand to anyone who needs that.

They’re usually tied to whatever event is ongoing within Fortnite or linked to that Season’s Battle Pass skins. They may even offer unique dialogue depending on what skin you’re using.

What Does Hiring an NPC in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Do?

Hiring an NPC in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 will make them follow you around and fight by your side. While they cost 100 gold bars to hire, NPCs can be incredibly helpful especially if you’re playing solo.

There are nine NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 who can be hired. If you are struggling to find gold bars, they can be found in chests, cash registers, safes, and given as rewards for completing bounties.

In an update to Chapter 3 Season 4, players can now give basic commands to NPCs. By holding down the Ping button, you can tell them to perform the following actions:

  • Move to a specific location
  • Wait at a specific location
  • Follow you
  • Be dismissed

Keen-eyed players have also spotted that NPCs can revive you now. Further leaks from HYPEX – a famous Fortnite leaker – have claimed that players will soon be able to give more specific commands – such as asking the NPC to revive you. However, that is still to be confirmed.

Once you’ve found all of these NPCs, you should go and find the hidden vaults in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 to vastly improve your loot.

And of course, if you’re looking to interact with a certain NPC, why not pick the perfect landing spot to reach them quickly?

If you’re done leveling up the Battle Pass, you can check out why other fans seem to hate Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4’s Battle Pass.
