As we all know, E3 is quickly approaching and with it brings new game announcements, new tech, and trailers. There are games that are already confirmed for E3 2018, such as Battlefield, Red Dead Redemption 2 and some other BIG games that we can assume will be announced. With the Switch already having a big library of their big-ticket games, I would expect them to start bringing in other timeless stars from their roster. Metroid 4 will most likely be making an appearance and get a possible release date. games like Smash Bros and Mario Party 11 should most definitely be getting some air time. Pokemon for Switch, which is arguably the most anticipated game for the Nintendo Switch, or any console is no doubt going to be on display a trailer or teaser is likely.
With the PS4 Pro being released less than 2 years ago and the PS4 being out 3 years prior to the announcement of PS4 Pro I wouldn’t even expect a teaser for the PS5. PlayStation VR will play a big role in Sony’s showcases and the new titles they will be releasing for it. On a side note, I expect for them to announce that they will be expanding into the mobile market of gaming. One of the more substantial things that Sony will be presenting is The Last of Us Part 2 and most likely there will be gameplay.
Halo 6 is probably going to be the most anticipated thing that Microsoft will be showcasing, and a teaser would be all that I would expect. The recent confirmation of Gears of War 5 coming in 2019 has left everyone hoping for at least a teaser trailer at E3. With virtual reality becoming more popular I fully expect a teaser for an Xbox VR. Also, the developer Playground Games is developing a game that is yet to be named but it is plausible that it is Forza Horizon 4.
Payday 3 is currently in development so a possible teaser for it could be in store. I would expect a full trailer for Bloodborne 2. Gearbox Software did show a technology demonstration video at Game Developers Conference last year that looked a lot like Borderlands. It might be a stretch but an announcement for Borderlands 3 could happen. With recent big releases The Evil Within, Doom, Dishonored, and Fallout, Bethesda has only one heavy hitter left to roll out a new installment for Elder Scrolls 6.
