An Elder Scrolls 6 Announcement Could Be Coming Soon

Elder Scrolls 6 may be a long way off, but according to one reliable source, we may get our first proper glimpse of ES6 soon.

The Elder Scrolls is one of Bethesda’s biggest franchises – perhaps their biggest after the popularity of Skyrim. The franchise’s MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online, can be a ton of fun, but most fans would agree it’s just not the same as a full-fat Elder Scrolls adventure.

This is why when the first teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6 dropped back in 2018, fans became very excited. While we knew the game wouldn’t be coming anytime soon, we didn’t think it would take THIS long for an update.

However, according to reliable industry insider Jeff Grubb, we may finally be getting a full Elder Scrolls 6 reveal soon. Grubb is the insider who also recently predicted more Elden Ring news will break soon.

Now he’s turned his attention to The Elder Scrolls 6, claiming that an update on the mysterious game may be in our immediate future. Microsoft recently purchased Bethesda in one of the most shocking and game-changing acquisitions in the history of the industry.

Will Microsoft Reveal The Elder Scrolls 6 In March?

According to Grubb, Microsoft is planning to hold a special Bethesda event to address the acquisition and their plans going forward. Naturally, the future of The Elder Scrolls series will be part of this, and both companies will have plans for the series.

Many fans are concerned that Microsoft’s purchase of Bethesda could mean The Elder Scrolls 6 becomes an Xbox Series X/S exclusive – excluding PS5 owners. But this may be unlikely, as neither company will want to half the game’s potential sales.

But of course, some Bethesda franchises are likely to become Xbox exclusives, but we doubt The Elder Scrolls will be one of them. Yet we could be wrong.

Bethesda and Microsoft will be keen to clarify their plans, and their upcoming event will be the perfect place to show more Elder Scrolls goodness. Another Microsoft insider, Paul Thurrot claims that an event of this nature will take place on the 23rd of March 2021.

Could these two events be the same thing? Thurrot’s event will be called “What’s New For Gaming” and seems like a contender. It’s also the only known Microsoft showcase event before E3.

Therefore, Elder Scrolls fans should pencil the 23rd of March into their diary. It’s far from confirmed, but this could be the day we learn more about our next adventure in Tamriel. – And where another 100 hours of our lives will go.

There's also the question of will the new Indiana Jones game lead to delays at Bethesda?
