Every boss in Elden Ring is incredibly challenging, so players must use all the items at their disposal to overcome them. One of the essential items you’ll need to get familiar with is Spirit Ashes.

What Are Spirit Ashes?

Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring are companions that players are able to summon to aid them in the many battles they’ll encounter.

These spirits usually resemble one of the many enemies players encounter in the Lands Between. There is a spirit that can even mimic the build the players currently have equipped.

But unfortunately, players will not be able to summon them for every encounter. There is a certain list of criteria you’ll need to meet.

How to Summon Spirit Ashes

To summon Spirit Ashes, players must first get the Spirit Calling Bell, equip the desired Spirit Ash from their inventory, and use it.

Step-By-Step Guide to Summon a Spirit Ash

• After you’ve talked to Melina and obtained Torrent, rest at a Site of Grace until night.
• Once it is night, Fast Travel to the Church of Elleh Site of Grace, the mist will surround the area, and a new NPC will sit on the ruins. Talk to her, and she will state her name is Renna.
• Renna will gift you the Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes.
• Equip the Spirit Ash to your inventory. Once equipped, it will appear next to your flasks.
• Summoning Spirits consumes Focus Points. So make sure you understand what Focus Points are and how to gain more.
• Players can only summon one Spirit Ashes at a time.
• Players can only summon spirits near a rebirth monument. You will see a small icon on the left side of the screen when near one.
• If a player leaves the area near the rebirth monument, then the Spirit Ashes will vanish.
• Players can only summon a Spirit Ash once. If it is killed or vanishes, the player must rest at a Site of Grace to gain another charge.

Players can also upgrade their Spirit Ashes to help them deal more damage and survive some of the more difficult boss battles.

Here is the location of all Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring, along with how many Focus Points (FP) you’ll need to use them. If you equip a Spirit Ash without meeting the required FP, then you won’t be able to summon it.

• Albinauric Ashes
  • Location: Found on a corpse in Caria Manor.
    • Once you defeat Royal Knight Loretta, you will have access to a graveyard on the east. You’ll find the corpse here.

• Azula Beastman Ashes
  • Location: Found in the Crumbling Farum Azula.
    • Jump to the stairs below on the west side of the Dragon Temple Site of Grace.
    • Drop to the level below these stairs.
    • Enter the doorway and follow this path until you reach a bigger room.
    • The Azula Beastman Ashes are in a sarcophagus towards the back of this room.

• Blackflame Monk Amon
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Stray Mimic Tear boss located in the Hidden Path to the Haligtree.
    • You’ll find the Stray Mimic tear boss in a secret catacomb underneath the staircase in the main hall.
    • To reach this area, you need to head down the stairs from the Hidden Path to the Haligtree Site of Grace.
    • There will be a broken railing on that floor. From the broken railing, you can drop down to an invisible floor.
    • Use Rainbow Stones to find the hidden path. This hidden path connects to a couple of doorways, one on each end of the path. One of these rooms contains the Silver Scarab Talisman.
    • Additionally, there is a second invisible road on the left side of this path if you are facing the room with the Sacramental Bud inside. Take this invisible road and right before you reach the opening on the wall, jump to your left. Check the image below for reference.
    • You should see a corpse and a few windows. Jump through the window left of the corpse.
    • There will be a few powerful enemies you’ll need to defeat. Either fight them or quickly make your way to the statue and interact with the lever.
    • From here, walk back down the stairs and through some more enemies. There will be two statues and an opened set of doors.
    • Go through the doors. In this corridor, you will see the mist that leads you to the Stray Mimic Tear boss fight! Defeat it, and the Blackflame Monk Amon is yours.

• Bloodhound Knight Floh
  • Location: It can be found in a chest after defeating the Red Wolf of the Champion boss in Gelmir Hero’s Grave.
    • Gelmir Hero’s Grave can be found in Mt. Gelmir.
    • An easy way to reach this location is by jumping from the rock formation located very close to the Primeval Sorcerer Azur Site of Grace, where you get Comet Azur, north of the Hermit Village. After jumping, you should see the entrance to the grave right in front.
    • Another route to get here is by getting to the Bridge of Iniquity Site of Grace.
    • Navigate northwest towards the two Iron Maiden enemies and climb the rope ladder on the left. Reach the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace.
    • From here, continue going around west on Torrent. Once you pass a pack of wolves, you’ll find yourself face to face with a structure. Enter it and take the elevator down to Gelmir Hero’s Grave.

  • Location: It can be found on a corpse after making your way into the Ainsel River south of the Ainsel River Main Site of Grace.
    • The easiest way to do this is by following the steps in Ranni’s questline. The portal you take from Renna’s Rise will take you to the Ainsel River Main Site of Grace.
    • From here, head south until you reach the next main big area filled with enemies in Uhl Palace Ruins.
    • Afterward, proceed southwest, hugging the edge of the wall until you reach the waterfall.
    • The corpse will be near the right side of the ledge.

  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Erdtree Burial Watchdog boss in the Impaler’s Catacomb.
    • To find the Impaler’s Catacomb, head to the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace in the eastern path of the Weeping Peninsula.
    • Directly east of here is a spiritsprint. Take it to reach the region above the cliff.
    • From here, head north and follow the edge of the cliff. Eventually, you will see several giant tombstones. Continue to follow the path until you see wooden doors to your left. The catacombs will be in there.

• Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes
  • Location: It can be found on a corpse in Volcano Manor and in Mt. Gelmir.
    • Head to the Volcano Manor Site of Grace. Speak to Lady Tanith and join Volcano Manor to gain the Drawing-Room Key.
    • Head to the corridor and use the key to enter the first room on your right.
    • Head towards the corpse lying in the room. Behind him is a painting that is actually a secret corridor you can enter. Hit this wall to reveal the secret path.
    • Head through here, and as soon as you reach the first room, take the narrow hallway on the left side of the room instead of taking the stairs down.
    • Once you reach the end of this hallway where you pick up the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [21], hit the wall on the left to reveal another hidden doorway.
    • The Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes can be looted from a corpse inside this room.

    • When you reach the giant bridge guarded by Fire Monks, instead of crossing it, take the road to the right. Head down this path, and you’ll come across the entrance to the catacombs.

  • Location: It can be found in the West Windmill Pasture in the Atlus Plateau.
    • You can reach this location by traveling east of the Road of Iniquity Side Path Site of Grace. As soon as the road splits, take the path to the left that leads up the hill.
    • You’ll find the Giant Rat Ashes in the middle of a stable with some rat enemies.

  • Location: Found in a cemetery on the western side of Stormhill.
    • You’ll find it near a grave surrounded by spirit jellyfish. You can find your way there by traveling southwest of the Stormhill Shack Site of Grace. On your map, it’s the area to the left of Stormhill Shack that shows trees.

  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Erdtree Burial Watchdog boss in the Cliffbottom Catacombs in the southeastern area of Liurnia of the Lakes.
    • From the Liurnia Highway North Site of Grace, head southeast, down a path near the ledge. Follow this until you reach the doors to the Cliffbottom Catacombs.

• Leyndell Soldiers Spirit Ashes
  • Location: It can be found in Sainted Hero’s Grave in Altus Plateau. You can reach this grave by traveling west of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace.
    • Once inside the grave, take the elevator down and take the path to the left. Then take the hallway to the right.
    • From the golden circle, take the path to the left and go down the stairs.
    • Go down another set of stairs right in front and get into the hallway in front of these stairs.
    • Take a turn to the left, and this will lead you to the room where the Leyndell Soldier Spirit Ashes are located.
    • To collect them, simply go around the edge and loot them from the corpse in the back of the room.

• Lone Wolf Ashes
  • Location: Given to players by Renna at the Church of Elleh. One of the first items you should acquire in Limgrave during your first hours.
    • Return to the Church of Elleh after acquiring Torrent by fast traveling at night.
    • There will be a heavy mist, and Renna will be sitting on some crumbled ruins. Interact with her to receive the Lone Wolf Ashes.

• Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Erdtree Burial Watchdogs duo in the Minor Erdtree Catacombs.
    • You can find these catacombs in the northeast area of Caelid near the Minor Erdtree. Head to the Minor Erdtree on your map, which is east of the region that meets with Limgrave.
    • There will be a few lifeless jars. The entrance to the catacombs will be on the side of the mountain wall.

  • Location: It can be found in Volcano Manor in Mt. Gelmir.
    • You can take the path from the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace.
    • Once you reach the area with the maiden enemy, jump through the window in a broken tower.
    • From this location, take the doorway to the right and continue this path until you reach a room with closed doors.
    • Open the doors, and you will see this Ash is guarded by three enemies. The room has a large egg guarded at the top.

• Marionette Soldier Ashes
  • Location: Found on a corpse in the Raya Lucaria Academy.
    • Head to the Church of the Cuckoo Site of Grace.
    • Go down the corridor and then take the first doorway to the left. Follow the left graveyard path and cross the bridge. Be careful as there are plenty of enemies on both sides of the bridge.
    • Immediately past the bridge, there is a small ledge on your left you can jump down to follow this path, and it’ll lead you to the Marionette Soldier Ashes.

• Mausoleum Soldier Ashes
  • Location: In the Deeproot Depths just north of The Nameless Eternal City Site of Grace.
    • From the Site of Grace, head north in a straight line until you reach the northernmost edge of the map. Past the Walking Mausoleum.
    • You’ll find the Mausoleum Soldier Ashes at the base of a small dried-up tree near the ledge. Check out our guide on how to get to the Deeproot Depths’ secret location.

• Nomad Ashes
  • Location: Found beneath Leyndell, the Royal Capital in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.
    • To reach the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds: From the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, head down the stairs directly in front of you. At the bottom of the staircase, pass the doorway and take a left. You will reach a railing. Jump on the two rooftops that are close together and jump down from the rooftops near the tree. Go north around the building to your right and into the well. From here, open the gate on the left and descend the ladder. Keep following this patch and take the corridor on your right. Follow the stairs down and beware of the rats. As soon as you exit this room, you will be at the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.
    • Descend using the ladder to the left. Head left into the first doorway, activate the Underground Roadside Site of Grace, and rest.
    • Head back into the main path and take a left.
  • Location from the Underground Roadside Site of Grace:
    • Exit the room with the Site of Grace and continue down the path to the left, but be careful with the powerful enemies patrolling the area.
    • Keep going on this path until you find a gap on the left side of the floor you can jump down through.
    • From here, take the road that does not have a dead end. A few steps in, you’ll see a few rat enemies. Next to them, on the right side of the wall, there is a circular opening. Go through there. This path is extremely tricky as it has gaps on the floor and several detours, so make sure to read the next steps carefully, taking your time in each step.
    • You should reach the first corner of this path a few steps into it. Turn left and DO NOT fall into the gap on the floor close to some slug-like enemies. Jump over the gap and continue going down this path.
    • You will reach another corner in the path, making you turn to the right.
    • The path will start elevating a bit. There is another gap on the floor right after this elevation starts, be careful not to fall and jump across it.
    • Continue going down this path, and you should reach a point in which it splits to the left and to the right. Take the path to the right, the one with what seems an open cell door.
    • Continue down this path until you encounter a large room with a ladder. Climb the ladder and head through the small wooden doors right in front. From here, carefully head left and drop down to the ledge below. Follow the staircase down until you see a corridor on your right.
    • Follow this corridor and turn left once you are out of it. Go down the stairs and take the ladder down.
    • You should see a Giant Miranda Sprout and some Basilisks. Take the path left of this flower enemy. The Nomad Ashes will be at the end of this corridor on a ledge.

• Omenkiller Rollo
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Fell Twins boss in the Capital Outskirts.
    • From the Forbidden Lands Site of Grace, head back into the lift and ride it back to the top.
    • Once you’re at the top, look for the doorway that leads you to a single soldier with a torch. Head toward that path.
    • When you get near the soldier, you’ll be transported into a pitch-black area where you can fight the Fell Twins.

  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Frenzied Duelist boss in the Gaol Cave in Caelid.
    • You can find Gaol Cave in the western section of Caelid. This cave can be found southeast of Fort Gael North Site of Grace. Two Stonesword Keys are required to gain access to this cave.

• Radahn Soldier Ashes
  • Location: It can be found in the War-dead Catacombs in Caelid.
    • This area can only be accessed after defeating Starscourge Radahn. Once Radahn is defeated, head northeast from the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace. Eventually, you’ll come across two giant doors. Open them to access the catacombs.
    • The Ashes are inside a small room with Scarlet Rot on the floor, guarded by a phantom enemy.

• Raya Lucaria Soldier Ashes
  • Location: Found inside a chest at the end of the Road’s End Catacombs.
    • This catacomb is located in the southwestern area of Liurnia of the Lakes. You can get here by traveling north of the Converted Tower Site of Grace and then west of the minor Erdtree past the Ghost Jellyfishes.
    • When you’re in the final room of this catacomb, hit the wall at the end, and it’ll reveal a hidden room filled with Fanged Imps.

• Rotten Stray Ashes
  • Location: Found near Sellia, Town of Sorcery.
    • It can be found just north of the Sellia Under-Stair Site of Grace. Inside of a ruined building where a corpse is located near a rotten dog enemy.

• Skeletal Bandit Ashes
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Tibia Mariner boss in the eastern part of Liurna of the Lakes.
    • From the Artist’s Shack, head southeast past the Carian Study Hall. Eventually, the Tibia Mariner will show themself.

  • FP Consumption: 22

• Skeletal Militiaman Ashes
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Tibia Mariner boss in the Summonwater Village, in the northeastern part of Limgrave.
    • If you start in the Stormhill Shack, simply follow the path east, crossing the Saintsbridge. Eventually, you will reach Summonwater Village, where the Tibia Mariner is located.
  • Closest Site of Grace: Summoner Water Outskirts

• Soldjars of Fortune Ashes
  • Location: Dropped by the Grave Warden Duelist boss at the Auriza Side Tomb. This tomb has a particular teleporting gimmick that makes it almost maze-like. Additionally, online multiplayer is not allowed in this location. Read the instructions below on how to locate this tomb and how to reach the Grave Warden Diueslist boss.
  • Location of the Auriza Side Tomb:
    • This tomb is located in the Capital Outskirts in Altus Plateau. The easiest way to get here is by traveling northeast from the Auriza Hero’s Grave entrance.
    • You can also get here from the Capital Rampart Site of Grace by dropping to a spiritspring below.
    • Once you reach the ground, travel northeast until you reach this location.
  • How to navigate the Auriza Side Tomb to reach the Grave Warden Duelist:
    • From the Auriza Side Tomb Site of Grace, follow the path in front and turn to the right.
    • Once you enter the room with the big column in the center, jump down from the window that is located on the left.
    • Once you land, go down the stairs and then take the doorway on the left.
    • Once you leave this hallway, take the path to the right and keep on going until you reach a chest. Open this chest to get teleported.
    • You will appear in a room with three items in front: two Cracked Pots and a Perfumer’s Cookbook [3]. Pick all of these items and open the chest in this room to get teleported once again.
    • You will appear in an ample room. Take the road to the left, go down the stairs, pick up the Grave Glovewort [5], and open the chest in this room to get teleported one more time.
    • Once you appear, pick up the Golden Rune [7] from the corpse and go through the doorway in front. Be careful here as running could make you fall below! Without falling, take the stairs up to the left.
    • Once you are up in another room, drop to the level below.
    • Take the stairs up and continue going this path up until you reach a room with a Ritual Pot and some Root Resin.
    • Backtrack to the room where you dropped from above before taking the stairs up, and take the doorway on the left.
    • After you descend some stairs, you will reach a room slightly flooded with water. Take the path on the right and as soon as you enter an ample room, take the doorway on the left.
    • You will reach a room with another chest. Open it to get teleported one more time.
    • You will appear in a room with a chest right in front of you. DO NOT open this chest. Instead, continue the path forward (without dropping down), then take the stairs to the left, and climb up the ladder.
    • You will reach a room with another chest. Open it to get teleported once again.
    • Once you are teleported, take the path in front, and take a turn right, going up through the stairs.
    • Continue going forward, go around the pillar in the room and continue ahead. Take the stairs up and pick up the Ritual Pot and Smithing Stone [5].
    • Backtrack all the way to the chest and open it again to get teleported one more time.
    • Go down the ladder in front of the chest, and carefully without dropping to the level below, take the doorway on the right and open the chest there to get teleported.
    • Take the stairs up and then go to the left; open the chest at the end of this room to get teleported.
    • You will appear in a room with two Cracked Pots. Pick them up and take the ladder up.
    • As soon as you reach the end of the ladder, follow this path, and you will immediately see the lever you need to activate to get to the boss of this maze dungeon.
    • Carefully walk towards the lever and activate it.
    • Drop down to the level below and take the stairs up. Continue going up until you reach a room with a chest. Open this chest to get teleported.
    • Once you appear in a room, go forward, take the turn right and go up the stairs. Keep going forward, up some stairs again, and finally, turn right to enter the doorway where you will face the Grave Warden Duelist. Before facing this boss it is recommended that you take the road to the left to rest at the Site of Grace and recover your flasks.
    • Closest Site of Grace: Auriza Side Tomb
  • FP Consumption: 44

• Spirit Jellyfish Ashes
  • Location: Given to you by Roderika after talking to her multiple times.
    • Players will be able to find Roderika in Stormhill Shack on their way to Stormveil Castle, following the path north from the Gatefront Site of Grace. This is the Spirit Ash you need for the Stargazer’s Puzzle!

• Stormhawk Deenh
  • Location: Found in the Chapel of Anticipation.
  • Get to the Chapel of Anticipation:
    • To access this area, head to the Four Belfries in the mid-area of the western side of Liurnia of the Lakes. Once you reach the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace, travel the upwards eastern path to get to the Belfries.
    • Go to the belfry at the very top of the hill and open the chest there to get an Imbued Sword Key.
    • To get to the Chapel of Anticipation, you need to activate the waygate of the second belfry (start counting from the lowest one to the highest). You will recognize it for the message nearby stating: “Precipice of Anticipation.”
    • Once the waygate is active, interact with it to get to the Chapel of Anticipation.
  • Stormhawk Deenh location in the Chapel of Anticipation:
    • As soon as you appear in this location, go forward, cross the bridge, take the stairs up, and defeat the Grafted Scion boss in this location.
    • Once that is done, continue your path to the south doorway.
    • Cross the bridge and take the stairs up. Continue going up by taking the wooden stairs.
    • You will reach an area up there with two doors. Take the smaller one on the right side.
    • As soon as you follow this path and take the stairs up, you will see the Stormhawk Deenh Ashes on the floor.

  • Location: Can be found in Auriza Hero’s Grave, at the lower levels of this dungeon.
  • Location of the Auriza Hero’s Grave:
    • Auriza Hero’s Grave can be found near the Capital Outskirts. From there, Hermit Merchant’s Shack, head southeastern. Around the wall to Leyndell, Royal Capital. Eventually, you will pass by some giants and bears. After them is the Auriza Hero’s Grave.
  • Location of the Vulgar Militia Ashes within the Auriza Hero’s Grave:
    • From the Auriza Hero’s Grave Site of Grace, take the path to the right.
    • Keep going down, past the first Chariot. As soon as you reach the golden circle with the two pillars in front, go either left or right and drop to the lower level.
    • Keep going forward, taking the stairs up, and be careful with the Basilisks in this area.
    • Take the hallway to the right. Before exiting the hallway, be careful with the chariots going up and down.
    • Keep heading down, avoiding the chariots, until you a safe area with several pillars.
    • From this area, you should see a path right in front that goes up to a doorway and is guarded by another chariot. Look carefully on the left edge of this path, and you will see a corpse. Once the chariot is at a safe distance, use the corpse location as a reference and drop from there to the wooden beam below.
    • Once you land safely on this beam, drop again to the beam below, collect the Holy Grease item in front, walk back a bit to align with the beam immediately below, the one you are standing on, and drop again.
    • Walk all the way to the northern wall, and drop to the beam below that is connected to a spacious hallway.
    • There are many Basilisks here, so be careful. Go through the doorway in front and turn to the right.
    • You can collect the Vulgar Militia Ashes from a corpse in this area.

• Wandering Noble Ashes
  • Location: Can be found in the Stormfood Catacombs in the western area of Limgrave. Northwest of the Church of Elleh Site of Grace.
    • From the entrance of the catacombs, go down the stairs and take a turn right.
    • Follow the stairs down, you should see the boss area door. Take the path to the left.
    • Go down the stairs and continue going forward. Cross a very narrow doorway and take a turn to the right.
    • Be careful with the fire! Advance a bit and take the path to the right. Do not go all the way in this hallway, as there will be fire too. Once the fire starts going back, move forward and climb the ladder on the left.
    • Once you arrive at the top area, keep going forward, and the Ashes will be in the room in the front. Be wary of a surprise Fanged Imp attack!

  • Location: Can be found in the Unsightly Catacombs in southwestern Altus Plateau. This catacomb is right below the southwest area where you found the Perfumer’s Ruins, west of the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace.
    • Getting to this location is easy. Take the stairs down from the entrance, continue going forward and then turn right.
    • You will reach an open room with a stair going down. Go down, and as soon as you reach the end of the stairs, turn around (facing the stairs), and drop carefully from the right ledge. Check the image below for reference.
    • If you did this right, you should fall right on the area with the lever.
    • Take the path right in front of the lever, turn right, and the Spirit Ashes will be on a corpse guarded by four Misbegotten enemies.

  • Location: Can be found in a chest in the Sellia Hideaway in Caelid.
  • Sellia Hideaway location:
    • Sellia Hideaway is a little trick to get to. You’ll need to go north of Sellia, Town of Sorcery, behind a tombstone guarded by a battlemage. There you need to hit the rock behind the tombstone, and the pathway to the cave will appear. You can get a clear walkthrough of the area in our guide to Sorceress Sellen’s quest! As well you can check the image below for the exact location of this tombstone.
  • Crystalian Ashes location with Sellia Hideaway:
    • From the Sellia Hideaway Site of Grace, keep going forward, hitting several illusory walls to reveal the path.
    • You will reach a bigger area in the cave, go to the right and take the first purplish crystal to the left.
    • Go all the way near the wall and then drop down to the crystal below, where a miner enemy is located.
    • Jump right into the platform in front with the crystal snails.
    • Follow the path to the right, hugging the wall, until you see a miner enemy in front of a burning brazier.
    • As soon as you see this enemy, jump to the ledge on the right. Follow this path and enter the tunnel in front.
    • Continue this way, past the Stake of Marika.
    • As soon as you arrive at the end of this path and to the bigger area, immediately go to the right, hugging the wall until you reach the last crystal.
    • Climb up this crystal. Right when you reach its tip, drop down to the crystal right below.
    • Walk to the left until you are aligned with the other crystal below. Drop down to this crystal and walk towards the tunnel nestled on the wall.
    • Follow this road and carefully drop down the platforms until you reach a candlelit room with some Glitstone Sorcerers.
    • The Crystalian Ashes are in a chest in this room.

  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Ancestor Spirit boss in Hallowhorn Grounds in the Siofra River.
    • Players will need to light eight altars in the Siofra River (accessible from the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace) before they can fight this boss. You can take a look at the image below for an accurate location of each of the eight altars marked with green markers.
    • Once they have all been lit, a deer carcass will begin to glow in Hollowhorn Grounds, east of the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace. Interact with it to access the boss fight.

    • Take the left and wait until you can jump to one of the lift platforms going down
    • Face north and jump once you reach the rock formation below on the bottom level of this area

  • Location: Can be found in Miquella’s Haligtree, near the Haligtree Town Site of Grace.
    • From the the Haligree Town Site of Grace, head up the ladder outside of the room you spawn in.
    • Once up there, run up the branch to your right. Keep an eye on your left side, eventually you’ll see another branch you can jump on from some fungi.
    • Jump on this branch and head left. Once you reach a fork in the road, take another left.
    • Once again, you will find another fork; this time, take the right path and keep climbing up the branches.
    • At the end, you’ll find the Oracle Envoy Ashes surrounded by enemies.

• Perfumer Tricia Ashes
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Perfumer Tricia & Misbegotten Warrior in the Unsightly Catacombs.

    • Eventually, you’ll reach the Perfumer’s Ruins. The entrance to the Unsightly Catacombs is right below these ruins.

Seluvis’ Puppets

Players will be able to unlock a number of puppets that they can use as Spirit Ashes from Seluvis’ shop. To access his shop, you’ll need to discover his secret laboratory near Seluvis’ Rise.

• Dung Eater Puppet
  • Location: Found by giving Dung Eater the potion that Seluvis gives to you for Nepheli. It can be bought from Seluvis for five Starlight Shards.
    • Follow the steps in this Seluvis’ Potion guide to obtain the potion. But do not follow Seluvis’ orders once you get the potion.
    • Instead, wait until you meet the Dung Eater in the Roundtable Hold. Once you have met him, follow his quest line until you are face to face with his real body. Exhaust his dialogue options, and eventually, you’ll be able to give him the potion. This will lock you out of his quest and ending.
    • Head to Ranni’s Rise, and go to the ruins near it (you can see the location in the images below). Here, you will find a small area surrounded by pillars; hit the floor to uncover the secret entrance. Take the stairs down to reach a room with puppets. Hit the wall at the end of the room to reveal a secret entrance. Inside, you will find the Dung Eater puppet. There is no need to interact with the puppet.
    • Now you can return to Selivus, exhaust his dialogue and then select “About Nepheli.”
    • After he is done talking, select “About your chambers.”
    • Seluvis’ dialogue will now mention the puppets. You will have to choose between the Jarwight Puppet and the Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet.
    • Rest on a Site of Grace to reload the area and return to Seluvis. Once you talk with him, select the “I want a new puppet” dialogue option.
    • This dialogue option makes Seluvis ask for five Starlight Shards. Once you have collected them all, return to Seluvis and select the dialogue option “Obtain a puppet.”
    • Now, you can purchase the Dung Eater Puppet from Seluvis for the five Starlight Shards you carry.

• Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet
  • Location: Can be received from Seluvis in Seluvis’ Rise if you give Nepheli Loux the Seluvi’s Potion. Else, it can be looted from Pidia’s Corpse at the Caria Manor after Seluvis’ death by progressing on Ranni’s questline.
    • If you choose to give the Seluvis’ Potion to Nepheli Loux, you can choose to get this puppet from Seluvis when he offers you one after selecting the “About your chambers” dialogue option.
      • Follow the steps in this Seluvis’ Potion guide to obtain the potion and give it to the Nepheli Loux. Then proceed to discover Seluvis’ Chambers.
      • To find Seluvis’ Chambers: Head to Ranni’s Rise, and go to the ruins near it. Here, you will find a small area surrounded by pillars; hit the floor to uncover the secret entrance. Take the stairs down to reach a room with puppets. Hit the wall at the end of the room to reveal a secret entrance to the chambers.
      • Now you can return to Selivus, exhaust his dialogue and then select “About Nepheli” (if this dialogue option is available).
      • After he is done talking, select “About your chambers.”
      • Seluvis’ dialogue will now mention the puppets. Seluvis will offer one free puppet, you will have to choose between the Jarwight Puppet, Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet, and the Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet.
    • If you give the potion to anyone besides Nepheli Loux, then Dolores the Sleeping Arrow will be on Pidia’s body in Caria Manor after Seluvis dies. This happens after finding the Fingerslayer Blade and giving it to Ranni in her quest.
      • To access the location of Pidia’s remains (location marked on the image below), head northeast from Seluvis’ Rise and from the ledge of the cliff and drop down on the building below. Keep dropping on the wooden platforms until you reach a small gap in the roof. You’ll find Pidia’s corpse surrounded by the puppets that just ended his life. You can loot Pidia’s Bell Bearing and Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet from his corpse.

• Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet
  • Location: You can get this puppet from Seluvis after finding Seluvis’ secret chambers near Seluvis’ Rise and giving the Seluvis’ Potion to Nepheli Loux, Gideon Ofnir, or the Dung Eater.
    • Follow the steps in this Seluvis’ Potion guide to obtain the potion and give it to the NPC you prefer. Then proceed to discover Seluvis’ Chambers.
    • To find Seluvis’ Chambers: Head to Ranni’s Rise, and go to the ruins near it (you can see the location in the images below). Here, you will find a small area surrounded by pillars; hit the floor to uncover the secret entrance. Take the stairs down to reach a room with puppets.     • You can find the Murkwater Catacombs north of the Murkwater Coast Site of Grace. You can get here by following the ravine on the northern side of the lake in the middle of Limgrave. The catacombs are north of the Murkwater Cave where you meet Patches.

    • Players can find the Sainted Hero’s Grave west of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace. Be careful because there will be a Black Knife Assassin guarding the Sainted Hero’s Grave.

• Cleanrot Knight Finlay Ashes
  • Location: Can be found in Elphael, Brace of the Halligtree, close to the Prayer Room Site of Grace.
    • Start from the Prayer Room site of Grace and exit the doorway with the Stake of Marika next to it.
    • Go down the first and second set of stairs. You should reach an area with two sets of stairs, one going up and the other one going down. Take the stairs down.
    • As soon as you descend these stairs, you will see a corpse on the right ledge. From this location, jump below to the column connecting the two buildings.
    • As soon as you land, jump to the area right in front with a gazebo.
    • From this gazebo, the Cleanrot Knight Finlay Ashes are inside a chest guarded by a Cleanrot Knight in the room to the left.

  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Cemetery Shade boss at the Tombsward Catacombs in the central western area of Weeping Peninsula.

• Mimic Tear Ashes
  • Location: Located in a chest behind an imp statue fog wall in the Night’s Sacred Ground in Nokron, Eternal City.
    • Start from the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace. From here, drop to the ceilings below.
    • From this ceiling, drop to the ledge on the building in front and as soon as you land, go to the right around the building.
    • You will see a balcony with a corpse below to the right. Jump to this area.
    • Drop to the ledge to the side of the balcony that is closer to the corpse.
    • Continue going forward, jump to the dome-shaped ceiling in front, and then jump to the area in front. Some Mimic Tears enemies will spawn here.
    • You will see a railing in front, go near the railings and take the path to the left. Once you reach the corner of this ledge, drop to the area below.
    • Go forward, carefully walking on the top of these broken arches.
    • Drop through one of the windows to the area below.
    • Take the stairs up, and past the massive altar in the middle of the room, you should see a hallway.
    • Go into this hallway, and you should see the imp statue fog wall at the end of it.
    • Unlock the doorway with one Stonesword Key. The Mimic Tear is inside a chest guarded by a Nox Swordstress.

• Redmane Knight Ogha Ashes
  • Location: Dropped after defeating the Putrid Tree Spirit at the Wardead Catacombs in the eastern area of Caelid.
    • To access these catacombs, you will need to defeat Starscrouge Radahn. Once you defeat him, head north from the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace until you come across massive wooden doors. You can enter the catacombs here.
