Elden Ring: Top 9 Most Unique Weapon Skills

Elden Ring has a great variety of weapons, each with its own unique skills and uses. Here are ten that players should try on their next adventure into the Lands Between.

Your character build in Elden Ring can completely change your entire experience in the Lands Between. Some players opt to use sorcery and incantations to create a powerful Frost Mage that can freeze even Malenia, Blade of Miquella.

Others will choose to use the ashes of war to boost weapons like the Great Stars into an invincible one-shot build.

But with so much variety, it can be easy to miss some of the more unique and mysterious weapon skills that Elden Ring offers.

9 Powerful Weapon Skills to Improve Your Build in Elden Ring

These are the ten weapon skills you need to try at least once on your journey to becoming Elden Lord. They may even end up changing your whole build!

9. Marais Executioner’s Sword – Eochaid’s Dancing Blade Skill

This unique weapon skill, Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, will enchant the sword and thrust it towards its enemies while it vigorously rotates. This makes for a sword that has excellent stats as a melee weapon but also has the option to attack at a range quickly.

The Marais Executioner’s Sword is often overlooked despite being a literal flying sword that drills into your enemies. To be fair, to obtain it, you do need to go to one of the more elusive areas of Elden Ring, The Shaded Castle.

If you’re still on the search for a decent secondary weapon or want to try out a new primary weapon, Marais Executioner’s Sword won’t disappoint.

8. Ruins Greatsword – Wave of Destruction Skill

The Ruins Greatsword’s unique weapon skill, Wave of Destruction, fires off a wave of gravitational force. So despite it being a Strength weapon, it can be fun for any New Game Plus player looking to try out an STR/INT build.

Despite the Ruins Greatsword being one of the legendary armaments, it’s still highly overlooked due to it being a Greatsword that requires a good amount of Strength to wield.

Obtaining can be a little tricky since you need to return to a legacy dungeon after you’ve already completed it. With so much to do in Elden Ring, returning to a dungeon isn’t too high on anyone’s list.

7. Ringed Finger – Claw Flick Skill

The Ringed Finger’s unique weapon skill, Claw Flick, will swell up before delivering an omnipotent flick to your enemies. It’s hilarious to see in action, but it’s also a viable weapon when your build your weapon correctly.

The Ringed Finger is one of the more unique weapon designs in the Lands Between.

To obtain it, you’ll need to make your way to Gelmir Hero’s Grave, where you will need to navigate through a puzzle-like dungeon. So it is definitely one of the harder weapons to obtain, but the best treasures always have a few obstacles.

And if you’re having trouble with the chariot in Gelmir Hero’s Grave, you can always destroy it.

6. Nox Flowing Sword – Flowing Form Skill

The Nox Flowing Sword’s unique weapon skill, Flowing Form, temporarily transforms the sword into a whip. This increases its reach and speed. Perfect for any player looking to level up their Dexterity build.

Any build is automatically amplified when you add a Curved Sword to the equation. They are quick to deal damage and help you maintain enough mobility to dodge incoming attacks. Bloodhound’s Fang, a Cuverd Sword, is often considered one of the ten best weapons in all of Elden Ring.

But what if you added a liquefying property to the Curved Sword that allowed it to whip enemies? That’s where the Nox Flowing Sword and its unique weapon skill come into play.

5. Sword of Milos – Shriek of Milos Skill

The unique weapon skill, Shriek of Milos, will reduce any damage negation and status resistance from nearby foes. This is a tactic that players can use in PvP to help against players using some of the more meta PVP builds currently in Elden Ring.

The Sword of Milos also has a passive effect that gives players back Focus Points with each enemy defeated. This is great when going up against mobs or entering one of the many dungeons that Elden Ring has to offer.

4. Siluria’s Tree – Siluria’s Woe Skill

Coupled with its unique weapon skill, Siluria’s Woe, players can charge up Siluria’s Tree and cast a mini tornado, and launch it towards the enemies.

Not only is Sluria’s Tree worthy of being on the cover of Elden Bling, but it also offers players a variety of uses.

This attack can knock back enemies and send them flying. To obtain it, you’ll need to make your way to the secret location, Deeproot Depths.

3. One-Eyed Shield – Flame Spit Skill

The One-Eyed Shield’s unique weapon skill, Flame Spit, launches a fireball that explodes on impact. It turns the player into a literal walking pirate ship.

But where the One-Eyed Shield truly shines is when you build towards its One-Shot capabilities. Players will be left shocked when they see their life bar completely depleted after one direct shot from the One-Eyed Shield’s Flame Spit.

It’s also one of the more fun builds to mess around with.

2. Crain Vessel Candlestand – Surge of Faith Skill

It may look like a simple candlestand, but the Crain Vessel Candlestand’s unique weapon skill, Surge of Faith, will rain down fireballs from the sky and damage anyone that tries to get near you.

The Crain Vessel Candlestand is a literal candlestand of death. It’s made from the cranium of Birac, a devote prophet of the Giants’ Flame.

Players will be able to find it in Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave after navigating the tomb’s obstacles.

It’s one of the more unique weapons in Elden Ring, and definitely, one player should have it in their inventory.

But if you’re looking for a different kind of Faith Build, here are a few FAI weapons that you need to add to your inventory as soon as possible.

1. Veteran’s Prosthesis – Storm Kick Skill

Veteran’s Prosthesis unique weapon skill, Storm Kick, will create a storm that can be followed up with a lightning-infused slam attack.

This armament functions as a Fist weapon with a unique weapon skill that brings about the power of the storms.

The Veteran’s Prosthesis actually has quite a beautiful story to it. Commander Niall, the knight you must defeat in order to access the Haligtree, gave up his lightning-infused prosthesis to free knights from being held as prisoners. Those knights went on to join him as an army with no nation.

And those are all the unique weapon skills that you absolutely need to try at least once in Elden Ring.
