Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s most successful title to date. Since its release, Elden Ring has broken every sales expectation Bandai Namco had placed on FromSoftware.

This is no small feat and well deserved by what is regarded as the best game of all time by Open Critic.

And now, Hidetaka Miyazaki has revealed his Elden Ring favorite boss in an interview with Xbox Wire Japan.

Using Faith in Elden Ring can be a lot of fun and allow you to use some powerful Incantations. But it’s always better when using one of the 5 best Sacred Seals in the Lands Between.

Hidetaka Miyazaki Interview Reveals Elden Ring Design Process and Inspiration

Elden Ring’s Game Director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, revealed that his favorite boss in the Lands Between is Starscourge Radahn.

He states that the overall character design is one of his favorites, and he likes the situation regarding the Radahn Festival. Miyazaki also mentions that despite it being his favorite, at first, the team would laugh about the idea of the Radahn Festival.

The Radahn battle is an epic one. To trigger it, you do need to progress through Ranni’s quest, which can be a difficult journey.

And defeating him causes a tremendous change in the Lands Between. His runner-ups were Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, and Godrick the Grafted.

In the interview, Hidetaka Miyazaki also talks about how the success of Elden Ring will not change how he approaches game development. The team at FromSoftware will continue to create games that they find interesting.

He says that he believes this is the best way to repay players for all the support they have given them with Elden Ring.

Miyazaki also mentioned that there wasn’t a specific open-world game that inspired him. He has played many games considered masterpieces and taken in information from all of them.

And when designing a location in Elden Ring, he considers the boss that will inhabit it and builds around that.
