Katanas are some of the very best weapons to use in Elden Ring and there is a surprisingly wide range of these Japanese swords to choose from when adventuring through the Lands Between.
One of the most interesting weapons on our list of best Katanas in Elden Ring is the Nagakiba. It is much longer than your average Katana, meaning it suits a slightly more defensive playstyle.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Nagakiba and where you can find this Katana in Elden Ring.

Is the Nagakiba Good in Elden Ring?

The Nagakiba is one of the strongest Katanas you can use in Elden Ring. Like all Katanas, it has some very powerful blood loss buildup, but the Nagakiba also has a much longer reach.
This makes it a more well-rounded weapon and also makes it a strong option for fighting off PvP invaders. Although, you will need 18 Strength and 22 Dexterity to wield it.
You can also change the Ash of War on the Nagakiba, letting you make some insanely powerful builds. We recommend using Seppuku for added blood loss or the Bloody Slash Ash of War to shred through bosses.
It may not make it onto our list of best Dexterity and Strength weapons in Elden Ring, but it comes close, and its damage scales with both of these stats.

How to Get Nagakiba Katana – Location + Map

- There are two ways to get the Nagakiba in Elden Ring – both are pretty simple.
- The first method is to follow the Bloody Finger Hunter Yura Questline.
- Near the end of this questline, Yura will give you the Nagakiba in Altus Plateau‘s Second Church of Marika.

- Alternatively, you can kill Bloody Finger Hunter Yura and get the Nagakiba as soon as you meet him outside Murkwater Cave.
- We don’t recommend this as it will end his questline. However, if you want to, make sure to rest at the Murkwater Cave Site of Grace first – defeating him can be difficult.
