How to Fix Invisible Enemies Bug in Elden Ring

Firstly, if you encounter invisible enemies, the best thing to do is save and quit. Once you reload the game, the enemies should be visible again. This is the quickest fix for the invisible enemies bug in Elden Ring.

While this isn’t a permanent fix, it will definitely remove all of the invisible enemies from your game. However, there are also a few things you can do to hopefully fix this problem for good.

Best Methods to Fix Invisible Enemy Bug

  1. Setting the Graphics Options to High Performance within the game’s files:
    • Tap the Windows key on your keyboard and type “Settings”
    • Click on “Settings” and select “System” from the options available
    • From here, click on “Display,” then “Graphic Settings” or “Graphics” depending on your version of Windows.
    • From the “Custom options for apps” dropdown, select Desktop app.
    • Click on “Browse.”
    • Search for eldenring.exe in your Steam Apps using the following paths as reference:
      • Default Path: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDENRING\Game”
      • Custom Installation Path: “Disc:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game”
    • Click on “Add.”
    • Elden Ring should now be added to the list of apps. Search for it below and click on “Options.”
    • Select “High performance” and click “Save”

  1. Use the best performance settings for Elden Ring on PC. Sometimes, higher graphics settings are the cause of invisible enemies, so lowering them could make them visible again.
  2. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. This is another fix that has been helping many players and is easy to do by heading to the NVIDIA or AMD website.
    • If you are using an NVIDIA Graphics Card:
      • The easiest way to update your drivers is by using the GeForce Experience program. If you already have it installed on your PC, follow these steps; else, you can download the app from the NVIDIA website:
        • Launch the GeForce Experience program on your PC
        • If you are not logged in to your account, the program will ask you to log in
        • Once this process is completed, click on the “Drivers” button in the upper left corner
        • Now click on “Check for Updates” on the right side of the screen
        • Finally, if there is a newer version of your drivers, the download button will show up

        • Go through the installer instructions by clicking “Install”
        • Be aware that your screen can flicker during the installation process
        • Click on “Restart” if the installer prompts this option once the drivers are installed
  3. Verify the integrity of Elden Ring’s files on Steam. Here is how you can do this:
    • Launch Steam on your PC
    • Click on the Library tab in the upper section of the program
    • On the left menu bar, find Elden Ring and right-click it
    • Select ‘Properties…’ and click on “Local Files” on the left menu bar
    • From here, you can select ‘Verify integrity of game files…’
