Elden Ring lets you change your character’s appearance and gender at any time – here’s how and where you can do it!

While most fans play Souls games for their tough-as-nails combat and the interesting environmental storytelling, customizing your character is still a beloved part of every title.

Not only is creating a character you like important because Elden Ring is a really long game, but you also want your character to be looking cool (or completely ridiculous) when you invade other players’ worlds in Elden Ring’s PvP!

Luckily, if you fancy changing your character’s appearance or gender mid-game in Elden Ring, you can do that. However, you’ll need a visit a specific place to do so.

Where to Customize Your Character’s Appearance & Gender in Elden Ring

Elden Ring allows players to customize their characters in the Deathbed Companion chamber at the Roundtable Hold and through Rennala at the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Unfortunately, you can’t just pause the game and change your character in Elden Ring. To get to the character customization, you’ll have to visit a specific place on the huge Elden Ring map.

So far, players have found two different places which allow you to enter the character customization options again.

The first one you will come across in the game is a mirror in a bedroom in Roundtable hold. It is in the one where you can find the Deathbed Companion.

If you interact with this mirror, it’ll let you customize your character’s appearance and gender using the game’s full character customization menu.

Additionally, you can change your appearance and gender in Elden Ring by visiting Rennala in the Raya Lucaria Academy. If you have a specific item, talking to her lets you re-spec your stats and customize your character!

Here’s how to find Rennala and re-spec your stats and attributes in Elden Ring!

That’s how you can change your appearance and gender in Elden Ring!
