FromSoftware has finally announced that an Elden Ring DLC Expansion is in development, and it is called Shadow of the Erdtree.

Alongside the announcement, FromSoftware shared some artwork from the upcoming expansion but has not revealed any more information just yet.

This will be the first major DLC following the Elden Ring Colossuem update that added a new PvP battling system. And, as a major DLC, many fans have very high expectations for the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion adding loads of new content to the game.

Here are all of the rumors, theories, and possible release date of the Elden Ring DLC! After all, as there’s no release date yet, there’s plenty of time to speculate about what it could include.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Artwork

The artwork for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree shows a vast ghostly graveyard in the middle of an empty field.

You can see the Erdtree in the background, as you can almost everywhere in The Lands Between. Meanwhile, an unknown character, which could be a Tarnished, is in the foreground riding Torrent.

The image and the name Shadow of the Erdtree imply that this DLC takes place after the end of Elden Ring. However, it will be interesting to see which of the many Elden Ring endings it takes place after.
