What Does Arcane Do in Elden Ring?
Arcane is one of the eight Attributes that affect your character in Elden Ring. This Attribute directly affects the Discovery stat.
Discovery is the likelihood of getting items from defeated enemies.
In addition, this Attribute also directly affects holy defense and vitality. Some sorceries and incantations are also affected by this Attribute.
Good ARC Weapon Options in Elden Ring
If you’re looking to use an Arcane build, then you’ll want to have these weapons in your inventory!
The Bloody Helice is a heavy thrusting sword the players can use to hit enemies with quick successive hits do that massive damage. This makes it easier for players to inflict blood loss on enemies, which imposes a great deal of damage.
Its special skill, Dynast’s Finesse, allows players to quickly dodge and attack and follow up with a strong lunge attack. If the players perform a heavy attack after the lunge, they will follow up with a sweeping motion.
Finding the Bloody Helice is pretty straightforward but does require players to take down a mini-boss. Make your way to the Writheblood Ruins, where you will find a set of stairs going underground.
Here you will need to defeat the Sanguine Noble. After defeating it, you’ll be able to open the door behind him to reveal a chest where the Bloody Helice will be waiting.

Eleonora’s Poleblade is a swift but deadly weapon that allows players to dance around their opponents easily. It also causes blood loss which, coupled with the ability to land multiple hits in seconds, is pretty deadly against enemies.
Its special ability Bloodblade Dance will bathe the sword in blood and launch a swift spinning flurry of attacks towards her opponents.
Finding Eleonora’s Poleblade will require players to progress through Bloody Finger Hunter Yura’s questline. You’ll first find him while acquiring another weapon on this list, Reduvia.
- Once this initial battle is over you will need to talk to him further down the ravine.
- After speaking to him you can find him once again north of the Raya Lucaria Main Gate, on the bridge.
- Help him in battle and then talk to him once more. From here you will be able to head to the final destination, Second Church of Marika.
Here, you will fight Bloody Finger Eleonora after you talk to Yura one last time. Defeat her, and you will be rewarded with her Poleblade.

The Reduvia is an excellent dagger that you can find early in the game, making it one of the most accessible weapons for early game Arcane builds. It’s a light weapon that can inflict a great deal of damage at a fast rate.
Its only drawback is it’s short-range, but its special skill makes up for it. With Reduvia Blood Blade, players can launch a wave of blood towards their enemies that inflict damage and blood loss. Just be careful because it will chip away at your health with every use.
Players will be able to find Reduvia in the starting area, Limgrave. Make your way to the lake and head north towards the ravine. Eventually, you should see a message saying Bloody Finger Nerijus is invading you.
Thankfully at the same time, Blood Finger Hunter Yura will come to your aid and automatically start his questline. Defeat Nerijus and Reduvia will be yours.
Rivers of Blood
The Rivers of Blood katana is probably one of the most potent weapons that Arcane users will find in Elden Ring. It’s available in the late-game area of the Lands Between, so make sure you’ve leveled up properly before embarking on this journey.
What sets this weapon apart compared to others is its special skill, Corpse Piler. Corpse Piler allows players to unleash a flurry of blood-soaked attacks that will quickly lower an enemy’s health, especially when you consider this weapon’s passive blood loss ability.
Players will find it after unlocking the late-game area, the Mountaintop of the Giants. Just make your way to the Church of Repose south of the Giant’s Gravepost.
Like many of the blood imbued weapons, Rivers of Blood will be guarded by Bloody Finger Okina. Defeat this boss, and Rivers of Blood will be yours.
Once you’ve found you’re ideal primary Arcane weapon then you might want to start looking for the perfect talisman to compliment your build.
And if you’re not happy with Arcane but already leveled up too far to go back, then don’t panic. Players can re-spec their character.
Some of the more simple weapons might also be used if coupled with the right Ash of War. For Arcane builds, the Seppuko Ash of War might be the way to go.

@Thisisbadinfo, I thought it was fixed in the last patch the other day.
If it's not working... I'm still doing great damage with it. I upgraded Rivers of Blood to +4 last night and was tearing through things that gave me trouble just a few days ago and I hadn't leveled up.
I'm high dex, strength & arcane and decent everywhere else. So far it's been working well.
I beat Godrick in about 2 min including his mid fight cutscene
