Elden Ring news has been in short supply since the game’s announcement. But could Sony’s State of Play finally give us an update?
Elden Ring, a collaboration between the creators of Game of Thrones and Dark Souls, has a lot of people excited. Yet so far, we’ve only seen one very weird and creepy trailer – which told us little.
We know that the game is likely to feature gameplay similar to the Souls series, but with a more significant emphasis on narrative. Hence George R.R Martin’s involvement, but that’s where our knowledge ends.
Like Westeros and Lordran, the world Elden Ring occupies is likely to be bleak, dark, and brutal. Both GRRM and FromSoftware are masters when it comes to world-building, so there’s a lot to be excited about.
A tease earlier this month suggested that an Elden Ring update could arrive soon, but so far, things have remained quiet. However, a source suggests that we may catch a glimpse of the game at Sony’s State of Play – later today.
In one of his recent Twitch live streams, industry insider Imran Khan stated that he’s confident that an Elden Ring update is imminent. Meaning every official Sony event has the potential to feature said update – including today’s State of Play.
It’s a longshot, but it’s only a matter of time until we do receive an Elden Ring update. Khan also expects it to be before E3 in June, making the State of Play shows a logical choice.
Until then, here’s everything we know about Elden Ring so far.
