It’s a big day for EA Sports FC 24 as the FIFA successor has had a new Closed Beta leak prior to an official announcement.

If you’re looking to try before you buy, a new leak has revealed that EA Sports FC’s first release will have a Closed Beta to look forward to.

By now, most gamers will likely have heard that FIFA 24 will be named EA Sports FC 24, as Electronic Arts parts ways with the official FIFA brand.

But it seems that in an effort to reassure fans that the gameplay is business as normal, EA Sports FC will be giving players a way to try the game ahead of release day.

EA Sports FC 24 Closed Beta Leaks

EA Sports FC 24 will be getting a Closed Beta very soon, according to Xbox database leaker ALumia_Italia on Twitter.

The dataminer has found access to two files, an EA Sports FC 24 Beta for Xbox Series X, and a version for Xbox One.

Interestingly, the current-gen Xbox Series X version of the game is slightly larger than its last-gen counterpart, clocking in at 41.57 GB.

The Xbox One version allegedly takes up just 39.23 GB of storage space by comparison.

Presumably, the upcoming Beta will also be dropping on PS4 and PS5 consoles. However, it’s possible that the trial will not come to PC or Nintendo Switch, as was the case with FIFA 23’s Closed Beta.

EA Sports FC Beta Dates

No dates have been revealed for the EA Sports FC 24 Beta, but it’s worth noting that the full game’s release date just leaked for September 29!

The FIFA 23 Beta lasted from August 11-September 2, 2022, so we could potentially see similar dates this time around for EA Sports FC.

Similarly, the FIFA 22 Beta also dropped on August 11 and ran through to September 2, 2021, suggesting that these are the dates to watch!

How to Get Access to EA Sports FC 24 Closed Beta

EA is yet to reveal how players can get access to the EA Sports FC 24 Closed Beta. In the past, lucky fans have been invited directly via codes distributed via email.

You must sign up for EA email notifications to be in with a chance at receiving a Beta invite.

To do this:

  • Head to the EA official website
  • Sign into your account
  • Click your profile and then Account Settings
  • Select Email Preferences
  • Check the box beneath ‘Manage Your Email Preferences’
  • Click Update
