It is that time of the week again, as we are back to give you your EA FC 24 TOTW 2 predictions! Last week was quite challenging as we did think Salah would miss out, and he did not.

In this week’s predictions, there are only 18 players as EA Sports has reduced the number of players to make the squad.

Additionally, it appears women will have a harder chance to make the squad with only one female in TOTW 1 despite a few of them outperforming the male selections. Let’s dive into the predictions!

EA FC 24 TOTW 2 Prediction

Starting XI

Marcin Bułka – GK – 73 → 80

2 penalty saves & clean sheet / 9.0 WhoScored match rating / 1-0 win against Monaco

It’s probably the easiest GK pick of the year. Two penalty saves, a man-of-the-match performance and a clean sheet make the Polish keeper almost a guarantee.

Kieran Trippier – RB – 85 → 86

3 assists & clean sheet / 9.6 WhoScored match rating / 8-0 win against Sheffield United

The Newcastle captain was in flying form as he picked up two first-half assists. Newcastle held onto their clean sheet, making Trippier a solid option.

James Tarkowski – CB – 79 → 82

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.6 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Brentford

We think Tarkowski is a shoo-in for TOTW 2. It is not often a defender, let alone a CB picks up both a goal and an assist.

Expect the Everton man to appear in the second Team of the Week in EA FC 24.

João Cancelo – LB → RB – 86 → 87

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.9 WhoScored match rating / 3-2 win against Celta Vigo

Cancelo inspired a late three-goal comeback as he provided an assist before scoring the game’s winning goal. Due to the nature of the final 10 minutes, with his side scoring three goals between the 81st and 89th, we believe the Portuguese makes the squad.

Kaoru Mitoma – LM – 80 → 83

2 goals / 7.8 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Bournemouth

Despite not starting the match, Mitoma was on the scoresheet twice after coming on at halftime. Two goals off the bench are undoubtedly worth a TOTW.

Giacoma Bonaventura – CM → CAM – 79 → 82

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.1 WhoScored match rating / 2-0 win against Udinese

The Italian assisted a goal for his side in the first half before later striking a goal for himself. Two-goal contributions may be enough for his inclusion.

Exequiel Palacios – CM – 80 → 83

2 assists / 8.4 WhoScored match rating / 4-1 win against FC Heidenheim

The Argentinian picked up two assists as Xabi Alonso and his Bayer Leverkusen continued their excellent start to the season.

Grace Geyoro – CM – 86 → 87

1 goal / N/A match rating / 2-0 win against Portugal

We are still unsure about the criteria and weighting for women to make the TOTW. We suspect at least one to be included, and Geyoro seems like the most plausible option.

Brais Méndez – CM → ST – 81 → 84

1 goal & 1 assist / 9.1 WhoScored match rating / 4-3 win against Getafe

Usually a central midfielder, Méndez was placed as a striker and delivered both a goal and an assist. Oyarzabal scored twice,e but his match rating was far below Méndez.

Harry Kane – ST – 90 → 91

3 goals & 2 assists / 10 WhoScored match rating / 7-0 win against VfL Bochum

If Harry Kane does not make TOTW 2, we will probably have to stop trying to make predictions. With FIVE contributions, there is no way he won’t make the team, right?

Heung-Min Son – LW → ST – 87 → 88

2 goals / 8.1 WhoScored match rating / 2-2 draw against Arsenal

Son was on fire as his two goals brought his side back from being a goal down on both occasions. With it being the North London Derby, a player is likely to feature, and the Korean is certainly the front-runner.

EA FC 24 TOTW 2 Predictions Starting XI

Bench

John Tolkin – LB – 71 → 80

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.2 WhoScored match rating / 5-3 win against DC United

The left-back got himself a goal and an assist in this eight-goal thriller.

Stephen Eustáquio – CDM – 77 → 81

1 goal / 8.2 WhoScored match rating / 2-1 win against Gil Vicente

Due to scoring a 91st-minute winner, Eustáquio could have a real shot at getting a TOTW item.

Saúl Niguez – CM – 80 → 83

2 assists / 8.4 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Real Madrid

The Spaniard got two assists in the Madrid derby. While Morata did score twice, we feel there are better striking options.

Morgan Whittaker – RM → RW – 66 → 80

3 goals / 9.7 WhoScored match rating / 6-2 win against Norwich

As we saw last week, scoring three goals and missing out on TOTW is possible. However, we believe Whittaker will make the cut.

Jordan Rhodes – ST – 68 → 80

3 goals / 9.9 WhoScored match rating / 4-1 win against Reading

Do we think EA will include two players from the lower English leagues in TOTW 2? With the previous 23-man squad, we would have said yes.

This pick is to cover our bases as either one of Rhodes or Whittaker will make the team. Perhaps we get lucky, and they both get the call-up.

Unfortunately, these two picks mean Andy Cook and Isaac Olaofe, who also scored three goals for Bradford and Stockport, respectively, miss out.

Aboubakary Koita – LWB → ST – 67 → 80

3 goals / 10 SofaScore match rating / 3-3 draw vs KRC Genk

Although his side drew the game, Koita scored an impressive six-minute hattrick.

Gonçalo Ramos – ST – 80 → 83

2 goals / 7.9 WhoScored match rating / 4-0 win against Marseille

Mbappe was forced off with an injury and in stepped Ramos. The Portuguese delivered with two goals off the bench.
