EA FC 24 is just around the corner, so we are back in action with our TOTW 1 prediction. This squad will be the first Team of the Week for the new game.

If you haven’t heard, TOTW is getting some significant changes this year with the notable addition of the five women’s leagues in contention for inform items. With more players than ever in line to get a TOTW, predictions just got harder.

Let’s dive into the predictions as we try and guess which players’ performances EA Sports will deem good enough to make the line-up!

EA FC 24 TOTW 1 Predictions

Starting XI

Jane Campbell – GK – 84 → 86

6 saves & clean sheet / 8.0 SofaScore match rating / 1-0 win against Racing Louisville

The American is the standout option for goalkeeping picks this week, with 6 saves in a 1-0 win. She received the highest match rating for her side.

Sakina Karchaoui – LB – 86 → 87

1 goal, 2 assists & clean sheet / 9.2 SofaScore rating / 3-0 win against Bordeaux

Karchaoui looks like one of the best fullbacks in EA FC 24, and with a TOTW item, she is sure to make it into a ton of meta squads.

The French women scored from the penalty spot, got two assists and kept a clean sheet in what was a player-of-the-match performance.

Mats Hummels – CB – 83 → 85

2 goals / 8.6 WhoScored match rating / 4-2 win against Freiburg

It is not often a defender scores two goals and wins the game. Hummels’ second of the game was a late winner before Reus secured the win with a fourth.

We would be shocked if the German defender was excluded.

Wendie Renard – CB – 88 → 89

1 goal & clean sheet / 8.8 SofaScore match rating / 4-0 win against Le Havre

When defenders score and win the game, it is usually a good combination for them to make our TOTW prediction. Renard is one of the highest-rated CBs in EA FC 24, and she may boost that higher now.

Andrew Robertson – LB – 86 → 87

1 goal / 7.9 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Wolves

While most people suspect Mohamed Salah will take the Liverpool spot in TOTW 1, we believe 2 assists are not enough for the Egyptian to be included, although we could be wrong.

Additionally, it is rare for a defender to score the winning goal for his club, making Robertson a likely shout.

Bernardo Silva – CM – 88 → 89

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.1 WhoScored rating / 3-1 win against West Ham

We suspect a Man City player could make their way into the team. Both Doku and Alvarez are contenders, but with Silva scoring and assisting, we have chosen him.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – CAM → CM – 81 → 84

2 goals & 1 assist / 9.6 WhoScored match rating / 5-1 win against AC Milan

The Armenian is a sure shot for TOTW 1, as he picked up three-goal contributions in the Milan derby. With two goals and an assist in a rout over their rivals, we would be shocked not to see Mkhitaryan make the team.

Bryan Cristante – CDM – 81 → 84

1 goal, 2 assists & clean sheet / 9.7 WhoScored match rating / 7-0 win against Empoli

Roma ran riot against Empoli, scoring seven goals. If Dybala was not substituted at half-time, we could have seen him make the team with another goal or assist.

However, Cristante was excellent throughout the match, making three goal contributions.

Xavi Simons – CAM – 79 → 82

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.5 WhoScored match rating / 3-0 win against Augsburg

While Lois Openda picked up the same amount of contributions, the lack of midfield options compared to strikers makes us lean toward Simons.

The Dutch midfielder would undoubtedly have an exciting early-game TOTW item, and we are sure many FUT fans would love to try this potential card.

Robert Lewandowski – ST – 90 → 91

1 goal & 2 assists / 9.0 WhoScored match rating / 5-0 win against Real Betis

The Polish striker was in fine form as he secured three goal contributions. This spot could also go to Joao Cancelo, who scored and kept a clean sheet.

Dušan Vlahović – ST – 83 → 85

2 goals / 8.8 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Lazio

The Serbian was twice on the scoresheet as his side returned with all three points. Vlahović could be an excellent option for early teams in Ultimate Team.

Bench

Alexandre Oukidja – GK – 73 → 80

Clean sheet & 10 saves / 9.2 WhoScored match rating / 1-0 win against Lens

Typically, the GK positions are the toughest to predict, but with the Algerian getting MOTM, making 10 saves, and keeping a clean sheet, we don’t see any reason for him not to feature.

Tariq Lamptey – RB – 75 → 81

2 assists / 7.3 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Manchester United

Brighton picked up a shock win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Lamptey assisted two goals. Two contributions for a defender should surely see him take his place in EA FC 24 TOTW 1.

Fran Garcia – LB – 78 → 82

2 assists / 7.8 WhoScored match rating / 2-1 win against Real Sociedad

The Spanish fullback assisted two goals as Real Madrid came back from being 1-0 down. Valverde is another option for the TOTW, but with the starting XI already predicted to be stacked, we suspect Garcia could be a cheap gem.

Joey Veerman – CM – 78 → 82

2 assists / 9.5 WhoScored match rating / 4-0 win against NEC Nijmegen

The Dutch midfielder is a bit of a punt due to the lack of midfield options. However, two assists are nothing to turn your nose up at, and he could be included in TOTW 1.

Bernard – LW → CAM – 75 → 81

3 goals / 9.8 SofaScore match rating / 5-0 win against Panetolikos

The Brazilian scored a hat-trick, making him a hard option to ignore. While he plays in the Greek league, his Brazil links could make him an exciting option for teams.

Terem Moffi – ST – 77 → 81

2 goals & 1 assist / 9.3 WhoScored match rating / 3-2 win against PSG

The Nigerian striker performed big as OGC Nice picked up a massive win against PSG. The striker scored twice and got an assist to guide his team to all three points.

He is a likely inclusion in TOTW 1.

Melissa Kössler – ST – 79 → 82

3 goals & 1 assist / 10 SofaScore match rating / 9-0 win against Duisberg

Kössler is in real contention to make the first TOTW of EA FC 24. The German forward scored a hat-trick and got an assist as her side picked up a monstrous 9-0 win.

It would certainly be a shock if she does not make the team.

Reserves

Kerem Aktürkoğlu – LM – 77 →  81

2 goals & 1 assist / 9.1 WhoScored match rating / 4-2 win against Samsunspor

The Turkish winger was involved in three of his side’s four goals, making him a contender for TOTW 1. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him make the squad.

Serhou Guirassy – ST – 77 – 81

3 goals / 10 WhoScored match rating / 3-1 win against Mainz

A hat-trick for a player usually guarantees a spot in the next TOTW. We expect the Guinean forward to be selected.

Lorenz Assignon – RB – 69 → 80

1 goal & 1 assist / 8.0 WhoScored match rating / 2-2 win against LOSC Lille

The Rennes defender popped up in a big way for his side as he assisted for an 89th-minute equalizer. Earlier in the game, the French fullback got his side back into the game after being 2-0 down by scoring himself.

Joakim Persson – ST – 60 → 80

3 goals / 9.7 SofaScore match rating / 7-0 win against Varberg

The Swedish forward picked up three goals, again making him a hard player to ignore. With the new rules on TOTW items being a minimum of 80 OVR, he could be a cheap item to pick up.

Haris Tabakovic- ST -69 → 80

3 goals / 9.8 WhoScored match rating / 3-0 win against Eintracht Braunschweig

The Swiss striker scored a hat-trick. While he won’t be the most enticing FUT item, we could not ignore the three goals and believe EA will do the same.
