EA Sports FC 24 will introduce new upgrades to its football formula to help it feel as close to the actual sport as possible, but does this mean that PS4 and Xbox One will need to miss out?

EA has always released its sports titles on as many platforms as possible. This ensures that plenty of people are playing them and provides the game with a healthy community.

Many developers have already stopped their latest titles from appearing on PS4 and Xbox One due to hardware limitations, but will EA do the same with FC 24?

Will EA FC 24 Be on PS4 & Xbox One?

Yes, EA FC 24 will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on Friday, September 29, 2023, alongside the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.

However, the last-gen versions of EA FC 24 cannot take advantage of the HyperMotionV features, and they can only cross-play with each other. This means that PS4 players cannot play with PS5 players, for example.

This is because the way the games play is essentially different due to the HyperMotionV features. If you want the most up-to-date experience of EA FC 24, then you’ll need to play the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.

HyperMotionV is a motion capture technology that EA uses to bring improved realism to EA FC. It allows EA to model the movement in their games closer to the movement of real-life professional football players.

It’s one of the most important features of EA FC 24 and what separates it from past iterations of the game. Without HyperMotionV, EA FC 24 will likely feel too similar to past FIFA games.

You can see a video explaining what HyperMotionV is in detail below:

EA FC 24 is releasing on September 29 on all platforms, but if you don’t want to wait, you can always pre-order the Ultimate Edition to receive 7 days early access starting September 22.
