The highly anticipated EA FC 24 gameplay deep dive has left players buzzing with excitement; however, for those loyal to the PS4 and Xbox One, there is little to be excited about.

In an unsurprising move from the developers, the focus seems to be on the current consoles, with many headline additions unavailable for PS4 and Xbox One.

To add insult to injury, players on these consoles will also have to pay the same price as those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for early access. This is despite not getting the same features.

EA FC 24 HyperMotion V Won’t Appear on PS4 & Xbox One

Labeled as one of the “trinity of technologies” coming to EA FC 24, Hypermotion V allows the developers to bring data from real-life football into the game. However, not for PS4 and Xbox One.

This new Hypermotion V technology will allow the developers to implement more animations, reducing errors and creating a more significant skill gap.

With Hypermotion V not present on PS4 and Xbox One, gamers on these consoles will miss out on crucial additions such as:

  • Over 11,000 true-to-football animations.
  • Over 1,200 signature player run styles.
  • AcceleRATE 2.0.
  • True-to-life Ball Physics.

With more animations and movements, EA FC 24 users will have better control over how their players perform on the field. Animations are crucial in EA Sports football games.

Fans of EA FC on older generation consoles will be disappointed as they won’t experience these significant changes being introduced to the game.

The exclusion of Hypermotion V means that both versions of EA FC 24 will feel and play completely differently. It ultimately will not be the same game.

To make matters worse, PS4 and Xbox One owners must pay the same price for early access.

EA FC 24 is available for Ultimate Edition owners on September 22, 2023, for all consoles for €109.99 / $109.99 / £99.99.

For those who opt for the Standard Edition, it will be available a week later, on September 29, 2023. This edition will come at a slightly cheaper price compared to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The PS4 and Xbox One games will cost €69.99 / $69.99 / £59.99. At the same time, the current generation players will need to pay €79.99 / $79.99 / £69.99.
