E3 2021: Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Trailer Revealed

Nintendo’s E3 2021 presentation wouldn’t feel complete without some Zelda 30th anniversary news, and a Breath of the Wild 2 trailer is just what we needed!

In case you hadn’t heard, this year is the 35th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise. As such, gamers have been waiting to hear about some exciting news for the series.

Up until now, we’ve been left fairly disappointed. After all, there’s a new Skyward Sword remake on its way, but nothing majorly exciting for the franchise.

Partner that up with the fact that Pokemon is getting 2 huge new games for its 25th anniversary and the remaster of a controversial 2011 title just doesn’t seem enough. Thankfully, there are more Zelda 35th anniversary plans at E3 2021.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Trailer – E3 2021

As one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises, it’s no shock that The Legend of Zelda made an appearance at E3 2021.

It’s a big year from Nintendo, as far as E3 is concerned! We’ve got brand-new reveals for Metroid fans at E3 and even a huge new Mario game trailer to enjoy!

And now, we’re hearing more about Nintendo’s plans for The Legend of Zelda franchise too. To finish up the show at E3 2021, Nintendo finally dropped a full trailer for Breath of the Wild 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 looks gorgeous, and brings more to the table than its predecessor. It looks like Link is getting a new look, as well as some varied and creative new abilities to boot.

However, it’s also worth noting that the name Breath of the Wild 2 isn’t confirmed. Nintendo actually refers to the upcoming project as “sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”.

The reason for this, as it turns out, is that Breath of the Wild 2’s real name contains spoilers!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s sequal will release in 2022.

What’s more, the ‘New Nintendo Switch’ is leaking at this US retailer already. Could this point towards the new 4K Nintendo Switch Pro that’s been rumored for months?

And even we couldn’t predict the new Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter this time around!
