Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies fans believe that Treyarch is already teasing the next Perk-a-Cola coming to the game, as references to Double Tap appear in a new store bundle.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is off to a flying start, with two excellent round-based experiences available on launch day.
To make matters even better, Treyarch isn’t done dropping Zombies content in 2024! In fact, we’ve got a new Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, arriving in Season 1 Reloaded later this year.
And it seems that the new Perk arriving alongside it might already be one that fans are familiar with…
Double Tap Returning in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Fans believe that the popular Double Tap Perk could be set to return in Black Ops 6 Zombies’ post-launch content, thanks to a reference that appears in a new store bundle.
Activision recently released the Mastercraft: Idead Tracer Pack bundle in its in-game store, allowing players to purchase a Zombies-inspired set of cosmetic items.
One of the weapons included in the 2400 COD Point bundle is the Big Boomer, a shotgun that features a Juggernog Perk-a-Cola can as its muzzle.
But fans were quick to notice that the weapon also prominently features a reference to the classic Double Tap Perk.
Of course, this could simply be a reference to double-tapping your enemies (AKA shooting them twice to ensure they stay down), which is a staple of many zombie franchises.
But that’s not the only reference to the Double Tap Perk that features in the bundle.
If you look closely at the Operator skin included in the same bundle, they are actually sporting a Double Tap Root Beer keychain, complete with the Perk-a-Cola’s logo!
Given that the Operator features a number of other Perk-a-Cola vials on its person, and even comes with an emote that lets you drink a Juggernog in-game, this is a clear reference to Double Tap arriving in Black Ops 6 Zombies!
And since we’re confirmed to be getting a new Perk in Season 1 Reloaded, alongside Citadelle des Morts, it seems that Treyarch could be dropping hints at what’s to come.

What Is Double Tap?
Double Tap (sometimes known as Double Tap Root Beer) is a Perk that first featured all the way back in Call of Duty: World at War.
Since then, it has appeared in the first three Black Ops games, but has since been missing in action in mainline series entries.
Double Tap increases a weapon’s rate of fire by 33%, allowing all guns to be fired at an increased rate.
It also allows players to use equipment faster, and operate bolt-action or pump-action weapons noticeably quicker.
Of course, in Black Ops 6 Zombies, Double Tap will also come with six Augments (three major, three minor) that let players upgrade the Perk and change the way it operates.
It’s therefore entirely possible that this version of the classic Perk Can will be the most powerful Double Tap yet! For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
