It looks like the popular Double Tap Perk could be the next to return in Black Ops 6 Zombies, and it’s likely to drop in Season 3.
Black Ops 6 Zombies has been a breath of fresh air for the undead survival mode, with some fans believing it to be the best Zombies iteration in years.
Not only has the game mode introduced a ton of never-seen-before content, but it’s also brought back some fan-favorite features, such as the return of GobbleGums and some iconic Wonder Weapons from the series’ past.
Now, it appears that another classic Zombies Perk is coming back alongside the Season 3 update.
Is Double Tap the Season 3 Zombies Perk?
It appears that Double Tap could be the next Perk-a-Cola to appear in Black Ops 6 Zombies, as the Perk assets have already been discovered in the game’s files.
For those who aren’t familiar with the classic Perk, Double Tap Root Beer increases your rate of fire by 33%, and allows faster equipment deploys and weapon re-chambering. A later iteration of the Perk, Double Tap II, also effectively doubled weapon damage by firing two bullets per shot.
Dataminers have found references to the Double Tap Perk in Black Ops 6’s game files, which wouldn’t necessarily mean a lot by itself.
However, the Perk’s assets also contain freshly updated graphics for Double Tap, indicating that the classic Perk-a-Cola is indeed in development for Black Ops 6.
What’s more, the Perk’s Augments have also been discovered, though we don’t yet know what they do.
With Augments being a new feature introduced in Black Ops 6 Zombies, this means Double Tap is almost certain to arrive in-game soon.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that has been paying much attention to Black Ops 6 thus far. After all, Treyarch seems to have been teasing Double Tap’s return for weeks now, even going as far as to reference the Perk in Store bundles.
