It’s been a busy couple of weekends of grinding out the MW2 Beta but will our progression carry over to launch day?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most exciting games dropping this year, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. For the last two weekends, the game’s Beta has been live, allowing us to go hands-on with Infinity Ward’s newest shooter.
And although there are some major issues with MW2 right now, we can only hope that some of them get a fix by launch day.

But speaking of launch, there are many fans wondering whether their time with the Beta will carry any weight when the full game goes live. And with Modern Warfare’s release date fast approaching, we finally have an answer to that question.

Will Beta Progression Carry Over to MW2 Full Release?
Unfortunately, MW2 Beta progression will not carry over to Modern Warfare 2’s launch day, Infinity Ward has confirmed.
All the time spent leveling up your guns will be for naught, as all weapons will reset to Level 1 after the trial ends. However, that’s not to say that the Beta grind was completely futile.
After all, you can unlock these MW2 Beta rewards to use in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0! These exclusive rewards will be disappearing forever at the end of the trial period, so don’t miss out.

These special unlocks will be the only things you’ll be able to keep on launch day, though Vault Edition players will still retain their exclusive Red Team 141 Operator skins and FJX Cinder Weapon Vault.
Speaking of launch, it seems that Infinity Ward is already considering making big changes. And for the first time in years, the developer tells fans that lobbies might not disband after MW2 matches.
