Directed Mode Is the New Fastest Way to Grind XP & Camos in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies just added Directed Mode, and players are already finding the best ways to exploit the guided gameplay for easy unlocks.

If you’re someone who cares about the grind in COD Zombies, this new strategy will make your life so much easier.

With the introduction of Season 1 on November 14, Black Ops 6 just added Directed Mode to Zombies. This new mode is designed to allow users to complete each map’s Easter Egg Main Quest easily, but as a side effect, it also makes leveling up and unlocking camos ridiculously easy!

Directed Mode Camo & XP Strategy

In Black Ops 6 Zombies, players can now choose to play Directed Mode when loading into Terminus or Liberty Falls.

Doing so will offer certain benefits, designed to make progressing the story easier, such as capping the Rounds at certain levels, and offering step-by-step instructions to help you complete the Main Quest.

However, players soon discovered that they can keep game capped permanently at particular Rounds, allowing them to farm an infinite number of zombie kills, perfect for both leveling up an account and farming camos!

By progressing the Main Quest until certain Round caps, you’ll be able to endlessly fight the undead at the exact same difficulty forever.

This means that zombies will never get too bullet-spongey, and you can easily take them down with Critical Kills for camo challenges.

On top of that, at higher Round Caps, such as Round 14, one Mangler should spawn every time the wave resets, helping you farm Elite Kills for Gold camos (Manglers count as Elites, not Special Zombies, in Directed Mode for some reason), and preventing the boss zombies from getting too powerful.

There’s even a quick and easy strategy that will help you clear waves rapidly, for the most efficient farming possible:

The Best XP & Camo Farm

This strategy will let you complete Rounds in a matter of seconds, while racking up an infinite number of Critical Kills. And best of all, you won’t even have to move:

1. First, load into Terminus on Directed Mode
2. Progress the game until you’ve turned on the power and discovered the Pack-a-Punch machine.
   • Handily, you’ll now have on-screen instructions directing you to each step!
3. Then, head to the Arsenal and purchase the Dead Wire Ammo Mod for 500 Salvage.

4. Activate the Inclined Lift (where the Pack-a-Punch is found) and ride it up.
5. Turn around and shoot the marked electrical boxes on the way up.

6. Head into the Barracks where you activated the second AMP, and shoot the electrical box in there too.
7. Then finally, shoot the last electrical box outside the Barracks to open the Research Office.
   • Thankfully, all boxes are marked in Directed Mode, so you know exactly where they are.
8. Head inside and clear one Round. The second the Round switches and you see the new Round number heading to the top right of your screen, step outside of the Research Office.

9. Now, save and quit your Zombies game using the menu.

10. Load back into the game and you’ll be inside the Research Office.
    • If you spawn outside it, run inside the Research Office as quickly as possible.
11. Now, all zombies will spawn only from the two spawn locations inside of the Research Office!
12. For the easiest farming possible, head into this corner of the room, which will cause zombies to line up on their way to you.

13. When you’re inside the Research Office, zombies will only enter through the spawn points inside the room. They’ll never enter from outside the office, meaning you’re able to easily farm zombies.
14. You can now infinitely farm undead, as the current Round cap will repeat itself over and over! If you want to progress to a higher Round, simply progress the Main Quest and the Round cap will increase.

You can still leave the Research Office when needed, to buy Perks and Pack-a-Punch your weapon. Simply head back to the farming spot once you’re done and the zombies will start spawning inside once again.

Another interesting benefit of this farming method is that you’ll still earn GobbleGums even when repeating Rounds. This means that you’ll be able to earn unlimited XP, easy weapon camos, and even boost up your GobbleGum inventory all while paying minimum attention to the game.

Therefore, there’s no need to buy those new Pay-to-Win GobbleGums in Black Ops 6 Season 1!

For even more XP, try popping a Double XP token right before you leave the game. This will double all player XP instantly, despite you only having it active at the end of the match.

However, for Weapon XP, you’ll have to pop the Double Weapon XP token while in the game itself.
