World Boss Tracker – Times & Countdowns

30 Minute Spawn Warning

Diablo 4 gives players who have already completed the campaign a 30-minute World Boss spawn warning presented as an icon directly on the map.

This icon appears in the area where the World Boss will spawn. In addition, it displays a small bar on top that fills up as the time of the event approaches.

If you hover over this icon, you will get all the upcoming event information, including a start time counter, details about the possible World Boss spawning, and rewards.

Note: If you have not completed the campaign, you can still participate in World Boss events; however, the map notification will not be available.

Possible World Boss Locations

Diablo 4 World Bosses spawn randomly in one of five possible locations. These are all of these five areas and their nearest fast-travel Waypoints:

• Caen Adar, Scosglen (Corbach Waypoint)
• Saraan Caldera, Dry Steppes (Ruins of Qara-Yisu Waypoint)
• The Crucible, Fractured Peaks (Bear Tribe Refuge or Yelesna Waypoints)
• Seared Basin, Kehjistan (Jirandai Waypoint)
• Fields of Desecration, Hawezar (Zarbinzet Waypoint)

World Boss Algorithm / Pattern

Predicting World Bosses in Diablo 4 on a tracker form is possible because their events follow a consistent algorithm to determine time and order of appearance.

We will explain this algorithm in detail so it is easier for you to fully understand how World Boss events are scheduled. Additionally, you will be able to understand and forecast what boss will spawn next.

World Boss Pattern & Order of Appearance Algorithm

World Bosses follow a set algorithm rotating pattern and order of appearance. The rotation algorithm consists of six sequences of 3-2, followed by a 3-2-2 pattern.

The World Boss order these sequences follow is first Ashava, then Wandering Death, and finally Avarice.

Here is a practical example of this rotation:

• Six Sequences of 3-2
  • 3 Ashava – 2 Wandering Death – 3 Avarice – 2 Ashava – 3 Wandering Death – 2 Avarice – 3 Ashava – 2 Wandering Death – 3 Avarice – 2 Ashava – 3 Wandering Death – 2 Avarice
• Followed by One Sequence of 3-2-2
  • 3 Ashava – 2 Wandering Death – 2 Avarice

World Boss Time Pattern

Just like with order of appearance, World Bosses follow a determined time pattern you can track. There are five different timeframes that determine when the next event will take place:

• 5 Hours 25 Minutes 13 Seconds 400 Milliseconds
• 5 Hours 53 Minutes 29 Seconds 500 Milliseconds
• 5 Hours 25 Minutes 13 Seconds 400 Milliseconds
• 5 Hours 53 Minutes 29 Seconds 500 Milliseconds
• 5 Hours 53 Minutes 29 Seconds 500 Milliseconds

In addition to these patterns, there are some time frames in which World Boss events happen:

• 12:30 AM – 2:30 AM ET
• 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM ET
• 12:30 PM – 12:30 PM ET
• 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM ET

If the time pattern lands outside these time frames, two hours will be added to the counter so the event lands on one of the time brackes stipulated above.

• A practical example of this pattern:
  • If an event starts at 1:30 PM, the next World Boss would be at approximately 6:55 PM if the 5 Hour and 25 minutes interval is added.
• The two-hour rule explained:
  • Since 6:55 PM lands on the 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM bracket, there won’t be a need to add two hours to this schedule.
  • However, if this was, as an example, 6:00 PM, it would require the two-hour addition, converting it to 8:00 PM, which lands on the 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM bracket.

As you can see, these events follow a time pattern, and there are set time frames. But, even with this cadence, it can be tricky to predict a World Boss Event due to how many variables there are.

For this reason, use the information above to get an overall idea of the possible timeframes for these events and how they take place roughly every 6 hours.

Individual World Boss Tracker

Ashava

Ashava the Pestilent can be problematic if your character is weak against Poison. This World Boss behemoth attacks using Poison Breath and Arm Blad swipes with substantial range.

Stock on Poison Resistance Elixirs at the Alchemist, and boost your Poison Resistance by adding Emerald gems to your armor.

Ultimately, the best strategy against Ashava is staying close while using as much DPS as possible to stagger it!

Ashava Spawn Tracker & Schedule:

Wandering Death

Wandering Death is a gigantic skeleton with multiple arms that can quickly eradicate most players in World Boss events with its AoE attacks.

The key to defeating Wandering Death is taking time to understand its choreographed attacks. Marks on the floor will often indicate where it will land its next AoE, giving you enough time to escape unharmed.

Remember, don’t get greedy! Land a few hits, avoid AoE at all costs, and repeat.

Wandering Death Spawn Tracker & Schedule:

Avarice

Avarice is a demon World Boss that carries around a giant mace and a loot box as weapons. The key to defeating this boss is good DPS and lightning-fast reflexes!

Aside from its humongous size and colossal AoE attacks, this World Boss also utilizes Golden Portals to move around the arena.

You’ll have to keep your eyes focused on these Golden Portals to react in time and leave before Avarice comes back, causing mayhem.

World Boss Not Showing On Map?

Unfortunately, World Boss map notifications are only available for players who have completed the campaign in Diablo 4.

However, you can still access these events as usual without ending the campaign. The only difference is you will not get map notifications.
