You’ll gain access to your first Vampiric Power early on in Diablo 4 Season 2, but the game isn’t very clear at telling you how to unlock more, or how to upgrade them to max level.
It’s more than worth acquiring all 22 Vampiric Powers in the Season of Blood, as each offers a powerful passive effect that will add significant power to your build. Each Vampiric Power can also be upgraded to a maximum level of 3, increasing its potency even further.

How to Unlock Vampiric Powers with Hunter’s Acclaim
There are 2 Vampiric Powers that can only be unlocked by reaching certain tiers at the Hunter’s Acclaim Board in Diablo 4 Season 2.
You level up tiers at the Hunter’s Acclaim Board by earning Hunter’s Acclaim points. They are a new form of reputation system in Diablo 4 and go towards unlocking tiers and rewards at a Hunter’s Acclaim Board.

You will earn Hunter’s Acclaim points for defeating enemies, completing events, and taking part in activities during a Blood Harvest event in Diablo 4.
After earning enough Hunter’s Acclaim, you can claim your rewards at a Hunter’s Acclaim Board in one of Diablo 4’s main settlements. It is indicated by this icon on the map:

There are a total of 18 reward tiers that can be claimed at the Hunter’s Acclaim Board. Only two of them will give you the remaining two Vampiric Powers:
- Sanguine Brace – unlocked by reaching Tier 4 at the Hunter’s Acclaim Board
- Accursed Touch – unlocked by reaching Tier 9 at the Hunter’s Acclaim Board

How to Upgrade Vampiric Powers to Max Level in Diablo 4 Season 2
To upgrade Vampiric Powers to max level in Diablo 4 Season 2, you need to spend Potent Blood in the character menu and upgrade the Vampiric Powers you already have unlocked. You must do this at least twice to rank it up to level three, its maximum level.
It’s a very similar process to unlocking Vampiric Powers with Potent Blood (as described above), but instead of purchasing new powers, you are upgrading those you have already unlocked.
Follow these steps to upgrade your Vampiric Powers with Potent Blood in Diablo 4:
- Head to the Vampiric Powers tab in the Character menu
- Select the area underneath the Sanguine Circle that asks you to spend 25 Potent Blood
- Choose to upgrade a Vampiric Power you already have unlocked out of the three options

- Confirm to upgrade it by 1 XP – it will take 5 XP to upgrade it to level two

- Repeat the above to upgrade the same Vampiric Power to max level
- The maximum level for all Vampiric Powers is level three
It’s important to note that the selection of three Vampiric Powers that may appear is totally random. You may have to spend 25 Potent Blood multiple times to see your desired Vampiric Power appear.
