Diablo 4 Season 1 will signify the start of a new era of Diablo, including a battle pass, a cosmetics item shop, and other forms of monetization.

This is Season 1 for Diablo 4 players, so there is a lot of expectation leading up to its actual release date. Will first impressions be enough to keep the community engaged?

What to Expect From Diablo 4 Season 1
Diablo 4 Season 1 will introduce a brand new questline, new Malignant powers, new boss battle, and new gear for players to find and use with their builds.
The new quest line, and overall theme of Diablo 4 Season 1, will revolve around corruption that has taken hold of Sanctuary following the events of the main story.
Players will need to help Cormond, a former priest of the Cathedral of Light, find where the Malignant is coming from and stop it at the source.
Thankfully, players will have access to 30 new Malignant powers to help create new builds for their characters as they fight against this new evil.

Do You Need a Battle Pass for Seasonal Content?
Diablo 4 Season 1 will be a free update containing content for all players to enjoy. However, there will be a paid Battle Pass containing seasonal content available alongside the update.
As is usually the case with these types of monetization schemes, Diablo 4 will have a free Battle Pass that players can progress through, with limited, lesser rewards available for those who don’t want to part with their hard-earned cash.
