Diablo 4 Season 1 has introduced new ways for players to play, like Malignant Hearts and Malignant enemies, but when will Season of the Malignant end?
When Diablo 4 Season 1 started, it introduced players to its first battle pass and some unique new cosmetics. As players progress their Season 1 battle pass, they will earn rewards that they can use for their characters.
However, players only have a limited time to progress through the battle pass, so it’s important to know the Diablo 4 Season 1 end date to ensure you complete everything before it’s gone.
Diablo 4 Season 1 End Date & Countdown
Diablo 4 Season 1 will end on October 17, 2023, as confirmed in-game. This means that players have until the Season of the Malignant ends.
Players will have until October 17 to complete the current battle pass before the rewards are gone for good. Even if you buy the battle pass, you only have a limited time to earn every item.

To see an in-game countdown for Diablo 4 Season 1, you can head into the Season Menu by doing the following:
- Press the Touch Pad/ Tab/ Menu Button.
- This will bring up your Map.
- Press L1 to go into the Season Menu.
- You can see the Season 1 end date just below the name “Season of the Malignant.”

Once Diablo 4 Season 1 ends, you will lose access to the current battle pass, and your character will get placed in the Eternal Realm. This means they can no longer use Seasonal Items such as Malignant Hearts.
When Does Diablo 4 Season 2 Start?
Diablo 4 Season 2 will start on October 17, 2023, and welcome the Season of Blood, which will introduce Vampiric Powers for players to use against the new foes they will meet.
This was confirmed by Blizzard during the Gamescon: Opening Night Live, where they present the trailer for the Season of Blood and introduced a new character, Erys. Erys is a Vampire Hunter that will help players similarly to what Cormand did in Season of the Malignant.
