What is Patch 1.1.3 in Diablo 4?

Patch 1.1.3 aims to fix a variety of broken and bugged quests that affect quest progression in Diablo 4. It will be released in the next few weeks, most likely at the beginning of September.

The Community Development Director for Diablo replied to a fan query on Blizzard’s forums regarding a quest-breaking bug:

The bug in question was regarding the Druid: Spirits of the Lost Grove Priority Quest in Diablo 4. It is stopping some players from mounting the Skull of the Stag Lord on an Altar, preventing them from completing the quest.

Fletcher mentioned that this is affecting “a very small subset of players who have fallen into a state where they cannot start/finish certain quests.”

He went on to confirm a fix for this specific bug, as well as other similar bugged quests that affect quest progression. He said the fix will arrive in Patch 1.1.3 and that “it should be in the coming few weeks”.

Diablo 4 Gore-soaked Barricade Fury Against Fate Bug

Here are a few of the most prominent quests in Diablo 4 that could benefit from Patch 1.1.3’s bug fixes:

  • Fury Against Fate Gore-soaked Barricade Bug
    • This is a widespread issue where you can’t destroy and get past the Gore-soaked barricade and can’t complete the quest
  • Desperate Remedies Side Quest
    • Some players reported that they are unable to complete the quest after placing the amulet on the altar while playing in co-op
  • In Desperate Times Side Quest
    • There are instances where activating the “Help” emote at the statue doesn’t do anything, preventing quest completion
