Diablo 4 Season 2 has introduced five class-specific Unique Malignant Rings to unlock slightly modified versions of the powers available during Season of the Malignant.

Getting these Season 1 inspire rings requires players to revisit and slay a main evil from the past, Varshan. Once obtained, each ring has a unique effect to boost a class in the game.

Despite the hassle of facing Varshan again, the affixes in these rings are worth the hassle mainly because you can also unlock and keep them in the Eternal Realm.

Take the path of the Malignant with us and learn how to get the Malignant Rings in Diablo 4 and all their unique affixes for each class!

What Are Malignant Rings?

Malignant Rings are unique class-specific rings introduced in Diablo 4 on November 7. Each ring has a slightly modified version of a power featured during Season of the Malignant.

In total, there are five rings, each with a unique Ancestral affix tailored for one of the classes in the game:

  1. Writhing Band of Trickery (Rogue Only)
    • Casting a Subterfuge Skill leaves behind a Decoy Trap that continuously Taunts and lures enemies. The Decoy Trap explodes after 3 seconds dealing [5,521 – 8,281] Shadow damage. Can occur every 12 seconds.
  2. Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop (Sorcerer Only)
    • For each type of Elemental damage you deal, gain [x][10.0 -15.0]% increased damage for 4 seconds. Dealing Elemental damage refreshes all bonuses.

Pro-Tips to Farm Malignant Body Parts

  • You can refine Malignant Body Parts at the Alchemist to get some missing parts.
    • For example, if you have several Gurgling Heads but no Blackened Femurs, you can swap them by purchasing Malignant Body Caches in the Alchemist’s Refine Resources tab at the cost of Veiled Crystals and Abtruse Sigils.
  • Killing a Grotesque Debtor guarantees a random Malignant Body Part as a drop.
    • You can find these Elite enemies in locations with Grim Favor rewards and Blood Harvest events.
    • This farming approach is quite efficient, as you are not only getting random parts as drops but also getting Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers.
