Here’s how to start the Midwinter Blight in Diablo 4 and check out the game’s first ever limited-time event just in time for the holidays!
You’ll want to jump into everything the Midwinter Blight has to offer. You can get some cool unique cosmetics, a powerful new Legendary Aspect, and a Seasonal Elixir to help with leveling.
How to Start Midwinter Blight
To start the Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4 Season 2, you need to head over to Kyovashad and speak to Gileon after the event goes live on December 12.
You can find Gileon in the Midwinter Square in Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks region. He is located to the left of the Kyovashad Waypoint:
Talking to Gileon will start the Midwinter Blight event.
What to Do in the Midwinter Blight
The Midwinter Blight event will allow you to take part in new quests and activities. It will also give you access to event-exclusive rewards.
To access these rewards, you’ll need to collect various resources from defeating enemies within the event area in the Fractured Peaks.
Similar to Helltides and Blood Harvests, the Midwinter Blight has a particular color on the map. The event area is signified by a purple color:
To get those new resources, you’ll need to fight the new Blightfiend enemies, destroy Frigid Husks, and defeat the Red-Cloaked Horror boss. They can all be found in the event area.
You can exchange these resources for Midwinter Proofs, which are a new type of currency for the holiday event.
Midwinter Proofs are used to purchase event cosmetics, reward caches, and a new Legendary Aspect, in addition to a new type of Elixir that gives a bonus of 15% to XP gain. You can purchase these goodies from Gileon.
Midwinter Blight End Date
The Midwinter Blight event ends on January 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.

This will give you three weeks to do everything, so there’s plenty of time to collect all of its rewards.
