Wrathful Invokers are the rarest type of Invoker in Diablo 4’s Season 1. Using it at the end of a Malignant Tunnel will spawn a tough Malignant enemy that will drop a powerful Wrathful Malignant Heart after defeating it.
There are 32 Malignant Hearts in Season 1, which are split into four categories. Wrathful Malignant Hearts are the most potent, granting players extremely powerful passive effects when slotted into Jewelry.
There is no easy way of getting Wrathful Invokers in Diablo 4, but you can increase your chances. Below, we go over how to best go about getting your hands on one.

How to Get Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4
To get a Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4 Season 1, you must craft an Uncertain Invoker at Cormond’s Workbench. This gives you a random Malignant Invoker, with a chance of getting a Wrathful Invoker.
The easiest and most convenient location to access Cormond’s Workbench is in the city of Kyovashad. It’s just to the left Kyovoshad Waypoint in the Fractured Peaks Region:

How to Craft Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4
To craft a Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4, interact with Cormond’s Workbench and craft the Uncertain Invoker under the ‘Crafted Cache’ heading. After crafting and opening it, it has a random chance of dropping a Wrathful Invoker.
To craft an Uncertain Invoker, you’ll need a certain amount of all three types of Malignant Ichor. Here are the amounts you need :
- x40 Brutal Malignant Ichor
- x40 Vicious Malignant Ichor
- x40 Devious Malignant Ichor

It’s important to note that crafting an Uncertain Invoker only gives a random chance of getting a Wrathful Invoker. It has the chance of giving you any of the four Malignant Invoker types, including Vicious, Brutal, Devious, and Wrathful.
Crafting a Wrathful Invoker in this way is left to RNG. Players are frustrated with how low the drop chance is for both Wrathful Invokers and Wrathful Hearts when opening caches:
If you want to increase your chances of crafting a Wrathful Invoker, we recommend that you hold off on crafting Uncertain Invokers until you reach World Tiers 3 and 4.
This is because rarer items have an increased drop rate in higher World Tiers, meaning that Wrathful Invokers should have a higher chance to drop.
How to Get Malignant Ichor in Diablo 4
There are three main ways to get Malignant Ichor in Diablo 4:
- Salvage Malignant Hearts for Malignant Ichor at Cormund’s Workbench
- Take part in events (particularly those with Malignant growths)
- Defeat Malignant Enemies
When salvaging Malignant Hearts at Cormond’s Workbench, you’ll get a certain amount of Malignant Ichor, depending on its Malignant Type.
Here’s what you get for salvaging each Malignant Heart type:
- Brutal Malignant Heart – 5-15 Brutal Malignant Ichor
- Vicious Malignant Heart – 5-15 Vicious Malignant Ichor
- Devious Malignant Heart – 5-15 Devious Malignant Ichor
- Wrathful Malignant Heart – 2-5 Malignant Ichor of any of the above three types

Taking part in events will increase your chances of seeing Malignant Ichor (of varying types) drop, but keep your eyes peeled for events with Malignant growths.
You can identify these by large yellow spherical pustules in the event area:

Completing these Malignant World Events will give Malignant Radiant Chests as rewards, granting much more Malignant Ichor than regular event chests.
Defeating Corrupted and Malignant enemies can net you a tidy sum of Malignant Ichor as all three types have a chance to drop from them. The best way to do this is to run Malignant Tunnels, as these have the highest density of Malignant enemies in Diablo 4.

How to Use Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4
To use a Wrathful Invoker in Diablo 4, you need to head to the end of a Malignant Tunnel and activate the Wrathful Outgrowth node located in the Tunnel’s Outgrowth. There is always one Wrathful Outgrowth node and another of one of the three other Malignant types to choose from.
Here’s what a Malignant Tunnel icon looks like on the map:

Activating the Wrathful Outgrowth will spawn a Wrathful Malignant enemy, which you must defeat for it to drop a Wrathful Malignant Heart.
Picking up the Heart will spawn a Fully Corrupted (more difficult) variant of the same enemy. Defeating it will grant you a guaranteed Caged Wrathful Heart, which has the chance to be one of the eight extremely powerful Wrathful Malignant Hearts in Diablo 4’s Season 1.

If you manage to get your hands on a Wrathful Invoker early, we recommend holding off on using it until you reach the endgame in World Tier 3 or 4. This is because the Wrathful Heart will be much more powerful and is better suited for Diablo 4’s endgame.
