This means that the first 665 can be farmed at any other location. But, to get the Musty Tome, the final 666th cow must be slain on Scosglen or Fractured Peaks.
To increase your cow farming speed to up to nine cows per minute, follow the cow spawn route outside the southern exit of Farobru in the Dry Steppes. Using this route is the fastest cow farming method in Diablo 4.
If you equip a decent AoE skill and move fast enough, this method can render around nine cows per minute. This means you can have the Musty Tome in around an hour and a half.
After all 665 cows have been farmed, and the last one is eliminated on Scosglen or Fractured Peaks, the Musty Tome drops as loot. You can pick it up and store it in your inventory or Stash.
