How to Get Flickerstep
To get the Flickerstep Boots in Diablo 4, you must play the game in World Tier 4. Flickerstep can only drop when playing in this difficulty tier.
You can also target farm for Flickerstep by summoning and defeating the Echo of Duriel endgame boss.
Defeating Duriel is the most reliable of getting Flickerstep in Diablo 4, but you must first meet a few requirements before you can attempt it.
How to Get Flickerstep from Duriel
To get Flickerstep from Duriel in Diablo 4, you need to summon and defeat him in the Gaping Crevasse dungeon while playing in World Tier 4. After defeating him, Flickerstep has a chance of dropping as loot.
Farming Duriel is the most reliable way of getting your hands on Flickerstep, as he is the only endgame boss that has it in his loot table.
This will significantly increase your chances of seeing Flickerstep drop compared to any other method of getting Uniques in Diablo 4.
To summon Duriel, you need to do the following:
- Deposit Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony in the Pestilent Altar in the Gaping Cravasse dungeon to summon the Echo of Duriel
- You will need:
- 2 Mucus-Slick Eggs
- 2 Shards of Agony
- You will need:
- Defeat the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4 to obtain Mucus-Slick Eggs
- Defeat Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint in World Tier 4 to obtain Shards of Agony
After defeating Duriel, there is a chance that Flickerstep will drop.

How to Get Flickerstep As Loot
To get Flickerstep as loot in Diablo 4, you need to play the game in World Tier 4. You will not be able to find Tibault’s Will in World Tiers 1, 2, or 3. Flickerstep will only drop in World Tier 4.
To access World Tier 4, you need to complete the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in the Dry Steppes Region.

What are the Flickerstep Unique Boots?
Flickerstep is a pair of Unique Boots that is available to all classes in Diablo 4. It has the powerful Unique Effect of reducing your Ultimate Skill Cooldown every time you Evade through an enemy.
Here are all of its affixes and effects:
- Flickerstep Affixes:
- +Attacks Reduce Evade’s Cooldown by 0.8 seconds
- +All Stats
- +Movement Speed
- +Ultimate Skill Damage
- +Damage Reduction from Close Enemies
- Flickerstep Unique Effect:
- Each enemy you Evade through reduces your active Ultimate Cooldown by 2-4 seconds, up to 10 seconds.
The Flickerstep’s main draw is its huge buff to your Ultimate Skill. Its Unique Effect reduces your Ultimate’s Cooldown each time you Evade through an enemy, stacking to a maximum of a whopping 10 seconds.
When paired with the Metamorphosis Vampiric Power in Season 2, the Flickerstep Boots are a very powerful find.
This is because of the Unique Boots’ huge buff to your Evade Skill, which Metamorphosis takes full advantage of by applying Vampiric Curse to those you Evade through. All attacks reduce your Evade’s Cooldown, meaning you can more frequently apply Vampiric Curse to your foes.
Things really start cooking when you bring other Unique items into the fold. For example, Tibault’s Will can take advantage of the Evade Cooldown reduction from Flickerstep, allowing you to do increased damage after becoming Unstoppable from Metamorphosis:
