There are many Unique Items in Diablo 4, but hardly any are as interesting as the Fists of Fate.
As its name aptly suggests, the Fists of Fate are a pair of Unique Gloves that have incredibly powerful affixes and effects that are completely reliant on random chance.
Find out exactly how the Fists of Fate work, how to get them, and all of their unique effects, below.
How to Get Fists of Fate in Diablo 4?
To get Fists of Fate to drop, you must be in either World Tier 3 or World Tier 4 difficulty.
Getting access to World Tier 3 (Nightmare) will require you to complete the campaign and the Capstone Dungeon at the Cathedral of Light.
To unlock World Tier 4 (Torment), you must first complete the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in the Dry Steppes Region while playing in World Tier 3.
Playing in higher World Tiers will increase your chances of higher-tier loot dropping. It’ll also drop gear with increased Item Power.
This is particularly important for the Fists of Fate, as increasing its Item Power increases the value range at which each of its Lucky Hit affixes rolls. For this pair of gambling gloves, every little helps.
To acquire the Fists of Fate you must play through the game and hope they drop, much like all other loot in Diablo 4.

There are several ways you can increase the frequency of better loot appearing. They include:
- Playing on higher World Tiers
- Open Helltide Mystery Chests
- Defeating World Bosses
- Running through Dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons
- Defeating Elite enemies
- Opening reward chests
Despite the Fists of Fate’s reliance on random chance, it’s an incredibly fun item to use with a huge potential for devastating damage.
What are Fists of Fate in Diablo 4?
The Fists of Fate are a powerful set of Unique Gloves. Its unique effect gives your attacks a random percentage chance of dealing either a minuscule or immense amount of damage.
Here are all of the Gloves’ affixes and effects:
- Fists of Fate Affixes:
- +Lucky Hit: Chance to Heal
- +Lucky Hit: Chance to restore Primary Resource
- +Lucky Hit: Immobilize Chance
- +Lucky Hit: Daze Chance
- Fists of Fate Unique Effect:
- Your attacks randomly deal 1% to [200-300%] their normal damage

The Fists of Fate have come straight out of a gambler’s fever dream, as all of its affixes and effects are completely reliant on dice rolls and random chance.
How Do Fists of Fate Work?
Each affix has a Lucky Hit Effect that gives heals, restores resources, and applies a status effect on each hit. Its unique effect gives your attacks a chance at dealing massive damage.
Lucky Hit Effects are triggered by how much Lucky Hit Chance you’ve accrued through bonuses gear and skills. They’re well-suited for a Lucky Hit build, as it will allow you to make use of these very useful affixes.

The real star of the show is the Fists of Fate’s unique effect. It buffs the damage of your attacks from anywhere between 1% and 200-300% of your normal damage.
For example, if you rolled a Fists of Fate item with 250% damage, your normal attacks will hit anywhere between 1-250% damage at any given time.
That’s a huge potential damage increase, but it really is the luck of the draw.
