Diablo 4, the latest and greatest game in the loot-based action RPG genre, has finally arrived.

Blizzard Entertainment has seemingly knocked it out of the park with another incredible demon-slaying title that is already receiving tremendous critical acclaim.

If you’re seeing the reviews and fancy jumping into Sanctuary for yourself, you might find the buying process a little confusing.

After all, there are currently 3 editions of Diablo 4 that players can pre-order:

Each edition comes with its own array of bonus content, with the more expensive editions containing all the benefits of the ones before them.

However, both the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Diablo 4 are digital-only, meaning you won’t be able to purchase them in stores.

In addition, the Diablo 4 Collector’s Box acts as a Collector’s Edition, but does not include the game itself.

Diablo 4 Standard Edition: What’s Included?

The Diablo 4 Standard Edition is the most basic version of the game, but purchasing it will still give fans a lot of bonus content, including rewards for other Blizzard Entertainment games.

How to Choose Your Diablo 4 Edition: A Buyer’s Guide

The most important matter to decide when choosing which edition of Diablo 4 is the one for you is whether or not you want early access to the game.

If you do, you’re already choosing between the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4.

For just a $10 upgrade from Deluxe to Ultimate, getting 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips and an emote isn’t bad value at all. But players will have to decide whether or not they value their time or money more when it comes to the Accelerated Battle Pass.

Diablo 4 co-op

However, if you want a physical copy of Diablo 4, there’s only one edition that can offer that: the Standard Edition. And unfortunately, there’s no way to get early access to the game with the Standard Edition purchase.

Now that you know which version of the game is right for you, check out our guide to pre-ordering Diablo 4 in order to get the best possible price and bonuses available!

Diablo 4 Collector’s Box: The Diablo Collector’s Edition

Although the Diablo 4 Collector’s Box serves as a sort of Collector’s Edition for the game, it does not actually contain Diablo 4. However, for Diablo superfans, it does contain some nice extras.

  • Price – $96.66
  • Includes
    • NO GAME
    • Candle of Creation (2-sided electric candle, batteries included)
    • Occult Mousepad
    • Cloth Map of Sanctuary
    • Pin of the Horadrim
    • Diablo IV Collector’s Edition Art Book (300+ Pages)
    • Matted Fine Art Prints x 2 – 18.54″ x 10.79″
    • Limited Edition Box
Diablo 4 Collector's Box

Players can pre-order the Diablo 4 Limited Collector’s Box from the official Blizzard Website. It will ship on June 30, 2023, a few weeks after Diablo 4’s June 6 release date.

At just under $100, this is quite the expensive Collector’s Box, especially considering that it doesn’t come with a copy of the newest Diablo game.

We’d say it’s only worth it for the most hardcore fans.
