Fans were recently treated to the first look at the Blood Knight class during a developer livestream and are naturally curious as to whether it is coming to the increasingly popular Diablo 4.
With Diablo 4’s Season 1 right around the corner and future expansions on their way, it’s understandable that some fans may have assumed that the Blood Knight class is coming to Diablo 4.
Unfortunately, the truth is a little confusing and potentially disappointing to some. Below we explain whether the Blood Knight class will be in Diablo 4.
Will Blood Knight Be in Diablo 4?
No, currently, the Blood Knight class will not be coming to Diablo 4 as a playable class. It is exclusive to the mobile game Diablo Immortal.
Blizzard has not confirmed whether the Blood Knight class may eventually come to Diablo 4, but for now, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up.
However, it is understandable why some players may assume that the Blood Knight class is coming to Diablo 4.
It was announced during the July 2023 Diablo Developer Update stream, which also happened to cover everything coming in the Diablo 4 Season 1 update.
During that livestream, the Principal Game Designer of Diablo Immortal, John Yoo, stated, “We’re here to present, for the first time since 2014, a brand new class to the Diablo universe.”
While they would later go on to mention Diablo Immortal several times, it’s easy to see how fans could have confused this reveal as a general announcement of a new class across the current Diablo games.
Additionally, due to it being the first new class introduced to the Diablo series since the Crusader was added in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls over nine years ago, fans were likely hoping it would be coming to the mainline Diablo game as well as the mobile title.
Fans are eager to know what the next class coming to Diablo 4 will be, with rumors circulating a few months back that it would be a Holy Shieldbearing class, similar to a Paladin or Crusader.
