The Midwinter Blight introduces a tantalizing array of new cosmetics and useful items to acquire in Diablo 4, but what’s the best way to farm them?
To get all the new goodies the Midwinter Blight has to offer, you need to acquire various resources to exchange for the new event currency, Midwinter Proof. You can then use this to purchase your goods at the vendor.
However, you need to defeat specific enemies and destroy certain structures for these resources to drop, which you can only do in the Midwinter Blight event area.
Thankfully, there are a few ways you can streamline the process of farming these resources to get Midwinter Proof in Diablo 4!
Midwinter Blight: Best Farming Method
The best way to farm the Midwinter Blight in Diablo 4 is to follow a path that allows you to complete multiple events in a row in quick succession.
We found that moving between and completing events at these three locations in the Fractured Peaks to be the most efficient for farming the Midwinter Blight:
As you move from Areas 1 to 2, you cross over into a new instanced zone:
When moving into a new zone, your map is refreshed to a new instance. This means that events are much more likely to spawn more frequently as a result.
Going between zones in this way will increase the amount of events you can complete in a short space of time.
It’s also worth making your way down to Area 3. The space between Area 2 and Area 3 on the map has a lot of Frigid Husks, which will give you Lost Heirlooms for destroying them.
Once you have destroyed all the Frigid Husks you can find, complete the event in Area 3, before heading back to Area 1 to start this process again!
Completing Events Gives More Resources
It’s important to complete multiple events as they will have you face off against a high density of Blightfiend enemies, which drop Blight Fragments. More events mean more Blightfiends, which means more Blight Fragments!
Moving from one event location to the next is also a great way to come across Frigid Husks to destroy to get Lost Heirlooms.
The events also have a chance to be a Blighted Revelry event, which will spawn the Red-Cloaked Horror that you need to defeat to get a Red-Cloaked Trophy.
Blight Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and Red-Cloaked Trophies are each needed to get the new Midwinter Proof currency to purchase the new event items and cosmetics.
You’ll need a whopping 440 Midwinter Proof in total to purchase everything, so get farming!
How to Farm Midwinter Spoils From Nightmare Dungeons
Once you have upgraded the Midwinter Square to Tier 3, the best way to farm for resources in the Midwinter Blight is to craft Tier 1 Nightmare Sigils and complete Nightmare Dungeons in World Tier 3 to get Midwinter Caches.
You can only get Midwinter Caches from Nightmare Dungeons once you upgrade the Midwinter Square to Tier 3. To do this, you need to increase your Midwinter Tribute Tier by exchanging Blighted Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and Red-Cloaked Trophies for Midwinter Proofs at the Collection’s Table.
Once you’ve reached Tier 3 of the Midwinter Tribute Tier, you can earn Midwinter Spoils Caches for completing Nightmare Dungeons. Midwinter Spoils caches will give you a decent amount of Blighted Fragments and Lost Heirlooms needed to get Midwinter Proofs!
The resources you collect from Midwinter Spoils Caches stay the same regardless of what Tier Nightmare Dungeon you run. Therefore, we recommend continuously running Tier 1 Nightmare Dungeons in World Tier 3 so you can complete them faster!
