Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't been out very long, but Death Stranding has just received a new update that adds a bunch of Cyberpunk 2077 crossover missions and items.
If you've been playing a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 recently you might have spotted a few easter eggs related to Hideo Kojima and Death Stranding.
You can take a look at the Cyberpunk 2077 easter eggs that we've found so far.
Kojima Productions, the company behind Death Stranding have announced a Cyberpunk 2077 themed crossover event.
The update is available to download right now but it's worth mentioning that this update is PC exclusive for the time being.
This is kind of ironic seeing as though Cyberpunk 2077 is currently unplayable on PS4 & Xbox One consoles.
The event will add a host of new missions, new gameplay mechanics that are all centered around Cyberpunk 2077.
Death Stranding: Cyberpunk 2077 Content
The latest Cyberpunk 2077 content to be added to Death Stranding includes new missions, which will add more content for the player to enjoy.
The update adds new cosmetic items that the player can equip to change the look of Sam Bridges.
Players might recognize the familiar cybernetic face augmentations and distinctive Johnny Silverhand sunglasses. If you want to try and look a bit more like Keanu Reeves...
The update also adds new gameplay mechanics such as a hacking ability, which is a big theme in Cyberpunk 2077.
Take a look at the full video below which will show you exactly what kind of things you can expect from the new Cyberpunk 2077 crossover.
In Death Stranding the player will be able to disable MULE sensor poles, stun enemies with Odradeks in a similar fashion to that of Cyberpunk's hacking mechanic.
The player will also be able to short circuit and disable enemy vehicles.
The most exciting addition to the game however is the Cyberpunk 2077 themed Reverse-Trike vehicle.
It might be familiar to fans who recognize this tweet from CD Projekt, which features Hideo Kojima on a rather cyberpunkian-looking vehicle.
It appears that Kojima Productions also wants to congratulate Cyberpunk 2077 on its release. Despite its unsuccessful launch, and the fact that many players after a refund are already receiving mixed messages.
Death Stranding: Other Content
There is more content available in the Cyberpunk 2077 crossover including the addition of the "Johnny Arm". Another not to subtle reference to Johnny Silverhand, who is played by Keanu Reeves.
There is also a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover hologram that the player can use to change up the look of their hologram.
You might also recognise the Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077. If you have met them in Night City you may also come across a floating vehicle in Death Stranding too.
As of right now, we do not know what kind of missions have been added to the game, but we are aware there are six new missions available to the player.
It might be worth trying out the update for yourself, it is available to download right now for PC. However, as of right now news on whether this update is coming to consoles is scarce.
