Who Is Imbibitor Lunae Explained – Are They Dan Heng?
Yes, Imbibitor Lunae is still Dan Heng, but a version of the character that has unleashed his full potential.
After being stabbed through the chest by Blade in 1.2’s storyline, Dan Heng’s powers rushed to the surface and he revealed his transformation into Imbibitor Lunae.
What Does Imbibitor Lunae Mean?
The Imbibitor Lunae is a being whose duty is to protect the Ambrosial Arbor, an ancient artifact on the Xianzhou Luofu and responsible for its people’s immortality.
Imbibitor Lunae (Latin for ‘Drinker of the Moon’), is a title passed down over the generations. The previous Imbibitor Lunae was Dan Feng – an incarnation who was marred in controversy.

After committing a ‘great crime,’ Dan Feng was captured and forced to rebirth himself into his next incarnation. This new being was Dan Heng, who was initially held in the Shackling Prison before being exiled from the Luofu.
Despite their name similarities, Dan Heng and Dan Feng are two different beings entirely.
Interestingly, the 5-Star character Bailu will take the title of Inhibitor Lunae in the future, once she comes of age.
