There's still so much we don't know about the exciting world of Cyberpunk 2077. However, a recent map leak before the game's release has shed some light on the kinds of activities players will be able to enjoy in Night city.
The game is set to release on December 10th, and if you're unsure what time that will be, you can find out exactly what time Cyberpunk 2077 releases here.
Cyberpunk 2077 Map Leak
It's hard to avoid spoilers, especially if the game in question is one of the most anticipated in recent memory.
If you haven't already heard, some players have reported Cyberpunk 2077 has been released early at certain retailers. This is obviously worrying for those who want to avoid spoilers but very exciting to those who are ravenous for new details.
With Cyberpunk 2077 Collectors Edition copies of the game releasing early, this, of course, means that leaked content will inevitably surface and reap havoc across the internet.
One of the most exciting new pieces of information involves a Cyberpunk 2077 map leak. The leak shows off the main metropolis of Cyberpunk 2077, its Night City.
This is the setting in which most of the game's story will take place.
The leak was first shared with users on 4chan (so we should take it with a pinch of salt) and shows off the map in quite a bit of detail. Perhaps the most striking element to the Cyberpunk 2077 map leak is how densely populated it is.
What Can We Tell From The Map Leak?
Below is the image in question, but be cautious if you've been avoiding spoilers for the game thus far...
In the leaked image, we can see an array of different icons littering Night City. From what we can make out, there are the usual RPG style icons.
There's a familiar-looking jacket to represent clothing stores, the gun icon for weapons, upgrades and ammunition, etc. These icons are all explicitly linked to the new progression system in Cyberpunk 2077.
Interestingly the majority of icons on the map resemble boxes of some kind. Perhaps this could represent a loot cache of some sort?
The baseball bat icon we could imagine might represent some sort of gang presence, usually the weapon of choice in traditional RPG's. This might be more prevalent if you picked the Street Kid life path too.
In fact, if you haven't already decided on a life path for yourself, take a look at our guide on which life path is best for your character.
Other notable icons we can see from the Cyberpunk 2077 map leak include a skull. Perhaps a boss encounter or particularly dangerous location? There are more than a few unusual and undiscernible icons that we can see from the leak.
The Wait Is Nearly Over
If the wait is getting too unbearable to handle, you could have a look at trying to piece together what these icons mean for yourself. Or you might want to brace yourself for Cyberpunk 2077's day one patch, which is as big as you'd expect.
You might also want to tune in on December 10th for CD Projekt's launch party, which will be hosted over on the developer's Twitter. We imagine you might be busy playing the game for yourself, though...
