Treyarch may be teasing a new field upgrade for Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Players can expect to see the brand-new Toxic Growth field upgrade in-game soon.
Cold War Zombies players are eagerly awaiting new content for Season 3. Interestingly enough, Treyarch are already hard at work teasing other content for Outbreak mode. Recently, Treyarch have been teasing the “Duga” map location for Season 3.
Similarly, a Cold War Zombies leak has hinted at a Season 3 easter egg coming at some point too. It looks like there is plenty of planned content coming to Outbreak mode in the new season.
Now, however, a credible leaker has revealed what could be coming to the game next. A clever hint may have given players the first clue as to the next field upgrade coming to Outbreak mode.
Cold War Zombies Toxic Growth Tease
A while ago credible Call of Duty leaker Nanikos info-dumped a number of files found in the beta version of the game. Interestingly enough, the findings were rather revealing and many field upgrades that were mentioned in the leak did in fact turn out to be present in the game.
It appears that the leak was correct in predicting the kinds of field upgrades coming to Zombies. However, there is one field upgrade on the list which has not yet appeared in-game.
The name of the field upgrade is ‘Toxic Growth’, and it appears alongside other field upgrades such as Frost Blast and Frenzy Guard in the game files. Therefore, this could mean that Zombies fans could see the new field upgrade in Season 3.
However, Treyarch themselves appear to be teasing the upgrade after fans noticed a subtle change in Treyarch’s profile picture. Take a look below at Nanikos’ tweet which shows off the tease:
As you can see, Treyarch’s new profile picture appears to hint at the Toxic Growth upgrade. Although it’s a rather subtle hint, it is one that player’s would not necessarily spot.
Similarly, Treyarch is no stranger to teasing content, and even other Call of Duty games. Recently, Call of Duty 2021 has been teased in Cold War Zombies Outbreak Mode.
Furthermore, another leak has also suggested the remake of this iconic Black Ops Zombies map, which could also be coming in Season 3 too.
If the leaks do turn out to be true, there are sure to be some exciting content updates for Cold War Zombies fans. However, some players are being banned for getting to high rounds in Zombies multiplayer with the new Sail 630 Nuclear bug.
Although Treyarch has now addressed the Sail 630 Nuclear bug, players may want to see what Treyarch is doing to help alleviate player concerns.
